Profile:
I have worked for 14 years managing data related projects related to sales
and marketing data. Over the years I have done everything from media/data
conversions and merge/purge, to full data cleansing and integrations into
CRM systems like Salesforce.com and Siebel OD. Most all of my data
experience has been to support Marketing and Sales, and I have extensive
experience working with people who work in these roles and understand their
needs and goals. I work best in a capacity where I can assist Sales and
Marketing with their data needs.
I do not consider myself to be a coder, but I think like one. I tend to
think of myself as a Data Artist. My experience working with data,
combined with a creative mind, has allowed me to help my customers mine and
enhance their data in ways they did not know possible. I am expert in
finding creative solutions to complex problems caused by either the lack of
data, or the lack of ability in the applications managing the data.
Some of the attributes I have that make me successful in my career are:

- Manage a staff of 12 data analysts and coders who work both locally and
remotely

deadlines and quality requirements

make better use of their data and understand what they have and what is

- Designed and managed the building of many custom applications that have

CRM's API to merge records, do basic hygiene or custom consolidations on
a field by field basis

conversion business into a very successful data services company that
was acquired by CatapultWorks (current employer) in 2005
- Used/modified custom Pascal coded programs to perform very specific
types of data manipulations not possible by other means

- Managed a team of data programmers
- Acted as the main point of contact for most customers
- Worked with data in its most raw bit/byte level to integrate data
between platforms
- Performed data cleanup and standardization services to support our

- Converted data from many different types including Text, Fixed-
Length/Flat, ASCII/EBCDIC, even application specific data in its raw
format
