Light of the world Christian Church/Eastern Star Baptist Church 12/200 -

10/2005

Indianapolis, IN

FOH Sound Engineer

I started as a relief sound engineer and ended up being the head

engineer of the church. I engineered and managed audio for all church

services with a small group of volunteers on and off church campus. On

campus I ran the house mix and monitor mix from same audio console, which

required detailed sound check before services. The house console had 8

monitor mixes with a matrix mix, which allowed us to split the audio to the

video and audio suites.

I helped develop the plan to create the video and audio suites at the

church which enabled us to mix the audio more efficiently for all three

audio formats which were audio CD, video tape and live production. All

media was used for either local radio stations or national TV networks.

I also managed project off campus that required me to create writer,

obtain sound company, acquire back line gear, I also did walk though of

venue to make sure all requirements were met for electrical and staging

needs. Supervised load in and load outs and sound checks and ran FOH day of

event.

The job required people skills, organization skills, and working

knowledge of equipment. Church membership was between 1500 -2,000

attendance.
