Projects:
• Efficient file sharing P2P network
Implemented a peer to peer file sharing network with some advanced features, using
socket programming and the concept of threading, in C. It predominantly used the client server
architecture. The peer or the user that desires a file connects to an origin node or ‘seed’ which
directs the peer to its other peers that contain the desired file and obtains the file from them. The
advanced features included scalability to any number of nodes, fast file acquiring, TTL based scope
searching and probabilistic searching.
Redesign of UNIX V6 File System
•
Redesigned the V6 file system by increasing the maximum file
size and maximum length of a filename and implemented a few basic commands on the
modified system.
Event Driven Simulation of an M/M/n/k queuing system
•
A Markovian queuing system was simulated such that for every event namely an arrival or
a departure, the system is driven on to update its system state and trigger other corresponding
events.
• Creation of a basic webpage
Created a webpage implementing a ‘student mark display system’ using ASP .NET and SQL
Server in which a student’s grade is displayed when his/her registration number is typed.
Polygonal Mesh Rendering in OPENGL and an individual rendition

Geometrical models were rendered as polygonal meshes. Further virtual camera
positioning, transformation and projection as well as lighting and shading were implemented using
opengl functions and also our our own rendition of opengl called ‘close2gl’.
• Nagamoochi Ibaraki algorithm
Implemented the Nagamoochi Ibaraki algorithm to find the minimum cut in an undirected
graph, when given the maximum number of nodes on a network and the number of edges between
them.
• Elimination of co channel interference in speaker recognition
Worked on an application in MATLAB that eliminates the co channel interference inside a
room and identifies the desired speaker. Firstly the voice characteristics (pitch) of all the speakers
inside a room are extracted and compared with the characteristic of the required speaker to identify
him/her.
