SUMMARY

Seeking a Plant Manager or Director of Operations Position with a medium to

large facility in the Northern California Region. I am an Executive

Manager with 28 years of experience with the Campbell Soup Company. I

have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and an M.B.A. from the

University of California, Davis. The majority of my experience, interest

and expertise is in plant operations. Recently, I broadened my experience

in large facility management as the Logistics Manager for the Western US.

I lead through rigorous objective setting and by comprehensive analysis and

stakeholder interaction.

PROFFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Campbell Soup Company

Logistics Manager- Western United States, & Pacific Rim Countries

2003 to 2010

I was responsible for the Customer Service of the Western United States

Region and the Pacific Rim Countries. My departments planned the

manufacturing, managed the inventory and executed the distribution of

finished goods for this region. Additionally, they procured, stored and

distributed all raw materials for our manufacturing facility.

Accomplishments:

. Performed at the highest customer service level with the lowest

finished goods inventory in the Campbell supply chain. Accomplished

this for several consecutive years.

. Successfully implemented SAP (accounting systems) and Manugistics

(MRP) systems for the facility.

. I personally introduced Lean Manufacturing Planning Methods based on

my training from the University of Tennessee.

My direct reports were:

The Regional Planning/Procurement Manager.

The Regional Distribution/International Manager.

We had 200 associate members and 30 salaried members on our team.

Plant Operations Manager- Sacramento Plant. 2000 to 2003

I was responsible for direct management of the entire production facility

including raw material prep, batch blending/mixing, filling, processing,

packaging and warehousing at the Sacramento Plant (40 million cases).

Accomplishments:

Reduced labor costs per unit 3% each year for 3 years.

Improved labor productivity 6.8 %.

Attained 68 all-time record production runs.

Set numerous all-time safety records

Reduced total plant holdup rate to the lowest in the plant history.

Reduced consumer complaint rate to the lowest of all the Campbell

facilities.

Plant Manager, Dixon Tomato Canning Facility 1998 to 2000

I had complete responsibility for the entire facility's operation and

service to the Campbell's network.

Accomplishments:

Solved a design issue and produced a new tomato paste product, generating

over $4,000,000 in new revenue.

Attained all-time record dice line productivity. Improved dice line output

by 35%.

Designed a new diced-tomato line that saved over $1,000,0000 in annual

operating costs.

Managed 208 production and maintenance personnel.

Engineering and Facility Manager - Sacramento Plant 1997 to 1998

Received corporate award for installing a new plastic packaging line

in 7 weeks -- well ahead of new product launch requirements.

Directed projects including design and installation of 2 complete filling

lines,

3 packaging lines, a rotary cooker, and a hydrostatic cooker overhaul.

Implemented many facility/plant upgrades and modifications.

Maintenance Manager 1988 to 1997

Improved plant run times and equipment reliability by 20% over a 2-year

period.

Reduced the annual maintenance costs by 11.1%.
