large scale civil infrastructure, Bridge, Mass Excavation, Wastewater and
Wastewater Treatment Plants, Telecom, Marine, Heavy Highway public and
private, Wind Energy projects, Concrete, Concrete Structures, Mixed use
and Big Box Retail; Asphalt paving applications; Utilities i.e. Water,
Sanitary, Storm Water, Gas; Elevated Rail, tunnels and shoring systems
associated with underground applications. Wind energy projects and
associated large cap design build infrastructure projects. Day to day
training of temporary rotation project manager interns in systems,
methods, concepts, as well as project management scheduling and
estimating software's. Typical rotation training is 10 weeks. Currently
taking advanced training in design concepts and practical application use
of Micro Station V8i / in-roads advanced certification classes. Practical
use and application.

contractor contracts, negotiations, Scope Definition, Bid tabulation,
Solicitation both Private and public. Ability to establish labor costs
and production rates within database in-order to compile current market
trend costs, and or methods & means; Negotiate contracts; purchase
materials; schedule crews; interact with project management during
critical project turnover phase; negotiate change orders and contract
adds; Interact daily with owners, owner representatives, as well as able
to deal directly with engineering entities during critical design build,
value engineering phases utilizing self preformed concepts and or concept
designs built utilizing micro station / in-roads. Over thirty one year's
professional as well as practical field related experience within CSI
divisions one thru sixteen of commercial construction. At present, I am
two credits short of my Bachelors of Arts degree in Civil Engineering. I
have worked my entire working life in the industry. I have well over 15
years in the field in capacities ranging from Laborer to Project Manager.

Perform preliminary review of RFP's and help determine suitability of
projects to meet Skanska goals, and assess how projects fit within
schedule. Develop preliminary estimate plan and assess ability to meet RFP
dates. Green Sheet & Identify scope of work and perform specificity,
quantity, and cost takeoff from RFQ information. Review available plans and
specifications to make sure estimate is in compliance with client
requirements as well as Skanska USA Civil feasibility & project monetary
targets guild lines. Perform conceptual estimates when detailed design
information is not available using In-Roads Design Software & Micro
Station, as well as upon request work with Skanska design team in-house
engineering departments on design build projects. Solicit pricing from
material vendors and subcontractors.
Develop overall estimate plan on projects and coordinate the estimating
team as necessary to roll-up all information into the final estimate.
Ensure that individual estimates are complete accurate and thorough, well
organized, and ready for review by Skanska chief estimator & management.
Develop project schedules in P6 to ensure that projects can be completed in
time frame to meet the owner's requirements, and that company resources are
utilized efficiently. Ensure that estimates address all potential safety
risks and concerns.
Develop innovative means and methods for completion of projects to increase
Skanska's competitiveness and project margins. Ensure compliance with
company standards and client requirements. Assist in the preparation of
proposals, and include information to document the basis of the proposal.
Ensure that proposals meet Skanska Civil and Skanska USA financial goals,
and that contractual requirements of the project are acceptable. Maintain
base bid documents and organize estimate information for future use and
accessibility.
Assist the project team by providing technical guidance on the project
delivery in terms of means and methods utilized and forecasted for use in
the project and continue this support for the duration of the projects.
Coordinate with the production team on successful bids to provide a
thorough transition to the project team. Support business development with
technical information and client meetings as requested. Assist in
development of project budgets and monitoring contract changes on
successful proposals. Design, and maintain estimating software's utilized
with in department. Train as well as mentor JR level engineers in
estimating techniques, means, methods, theory, and application. Train
individuals in practical application & use of scheduling software P6,
Microsoft Project, & Coins. Train in Design software's Micro Station & In-
Roads. Work directly with division President, and Vice President as well as
Chief Estimator on future forecasted work to be performed. Primary focus

ongoing projects, contract negotiations, vendor solicitation, and sub-
contractor contract negotiations. Managed an office of four (4) estimators,
oversaw all day to day operation within the estimation dept. As estimator,
provided hard takeoffs and value engineered estimates upon request. 30% of
Estimation was Conceptual Jobs ranged from 100K to 25M. Primary focus on
Heavy Industrial construction projects. Transit, Telecomm, Marine, Highway,
Foundations, Hazardous Material Abatement, Demolition, Public
Transportation Projects. Worked with owners, agents, to develop project

As Chief Estimator, I managed day to day operations of the marine/specialty
construction division. From initial project inception, throughout the bid
process. Value engineering a majority of the projects along with design
building. The operational area of my job scope included the hiring of key
skill set personnel, safety compliance, DOT compliance, and instructed
twice a month the OSHA confined space entry cert program. The majority of
CCL's work involved super fund landfill closures & Cell site design builds
as well as Value engineered projects. In turn a majority of estimation was
detail involved, and design build. Project values estimated ranged from
100K to 15M.
