Government, based on a Single Scope Background Investigation and completion
of a Counter Intelligence Polygraph. Granted August 2006. Due to layoff in
Dec 2009, clearance incurred a "loss of jurisdiction" so is currently in a

Building off my experience as IT Manager, Project Manager, and Technical
Team Lead, I have begun working towards my PMP certification and have
trained in ITIL v3 (exam pending). Working with a team of ten system
administrators and help desk support professionals, I have initiated and
brought to fruition efforts to upgrade to Server 2008 R2, upgrade to
Exchange 2010, implement a help desk ticketing software system, implement
change management programs, set up server monitoring, set up corporate wide
backups, implement printer support services, implement corporate wide
backups and migrate from a stand-alone server environment to a SAN backed
virtual environment.
I obtained the MCSE+ Internet in 2000. While I'm proficient in Win 2000,
XP, 7 and 2003/2008 (Workstation and/or Server) my technical focus has been
in the implementation of 2007/2003/2000/ Exchange Servers and Win
2003/2000/NT Server Domain structure. Through the years, I've worked in
every aspect of IT, including all phases from creating and installing cable
to designing and implementing network services, routers, hubs and switches.
Regarding software, I have vast experience in many applications including:
Microsoft Office suite: Project, Outlook, Internet Explorer, Publisher;
SharePoint, Visio, InfoPath, Access and Groove; Symantec/Norton/Veritas
BackupExec, ArcServe IT Backup, McAfee products, TrendMicro products,
Symantec products, and Adobe products. Beginning with a MacPlus in my
college days, I have a long history with Mac OS.
I am well versed in leading training sessions and project related
organizational meetings and presentations to upper management and
customers.
With an advanced proficiency in technical writing, graphics design and
written/oral communications, I've written manuals as well as led management
training and change management/problem resolution facilitations. As a

During my tenure, completed a number of initiatives including
successfully migrated: corporate domain from Server 2003 to Server 2008,
Win XP to Win7, stand-alone server environment to VMWare with Equalogics
SAN, CAT5E to CAT6 cabling infrastructure, SharePoint WSS to SharePoint
2010 (including original implementation, design and maintenance of
SharePoint MOSS and Foundation Servers), and Exchange 2003 to Exchange
2010.

As part of the internal network support group (MCTS, formerly MIST)
worked to integrate Access/Excel based inventory database into
SharePoint Portal on web with a web-based interface for data input,
using InfoPath and SharePoint services. Documented application
development procedures, Development lab policies and graphic
representation of rack mounted equipment. Researched new technologies
and innovations for consideration in mainstream corporate environment.
The highlight of this experience was assisting with the implementation
of the internal SharePoint server.
My first year with ManTech I served as technical team/project lead for
the FBI SCION program. Responsibilities included planning and leading
team through upgrade of 5000 node SCI network from Windows Server
2000/Exchange 2000 to Server 2003/Exchange 2003. Produced project
related documentation including technical manuals, System Design
Document, Communications Plan, System Security Plan, Requirements
Matrix, and Risk Assessments. Upgrade effort included standing up a
development environment, designing an upgraded Active Directory and
Exchange implementation design based on best practices, proof of concept
testing, and implementation into the production environment.

One of three Sr. Exchange administrators contracted to the Defense
Contract Management Agency (DCMA) located in Springfield, VA.
Responsible for installing, maintaining and administering Exchange 2000
and Exchange 2003 enterprise servers running on Windows Server 2003,
located locally as well as nation-wide and internationally. Supported
active directory with over 18,000 objects, including users, groups,
contacts, servers, etc. Planned and implemented anti-spam servers (IMSS
from Trend Micro) to front-end exchange bridgeheads, cutting spam
infiltration by 90%. Primary player in reorganization of public folders
hierarchy. Assisted in the migration from Exchange 2000 to Exchange 2003
server, including building servers with multiple information stores,
setting up bridgeheads and transfer of 15000 Exchange objects to
upgraded server base. Identified as point member of staff for writing
memos and documentation as well as editing writing by others.
Senior System Administrator/Analyst
Northrop Grumman IT, Reston Virginia March 1996 - June 2003
Served as technical lead and primary point of contact for integration of
INRI NT server architecture into Northrop Grumman NT/Exchange server
topology. Aided with implementation of Exchange Server 5.5 email system;
through conversion to Win2K server upgrade with active directory and
beginning of migration to Exchange 2000. Provided Blackberry support.

and implemented Disaster Recovery Plan for Reston office. Designed and
