Description:
The Global payment Utility provides a single payment layout for Capital One
clients. It will provide the infrastructure to support global,
Standardized Commercial Card Unbilled Payments and the means to post all
Commercial Card payments upon receipt, regardless of the Unbilled Remit
payment amount. COF team will receive an input file from Payment manager
team which will contain the card_ids of all the cards in that cycle. COF
will send confirmation file once it receives file after performing record
and file level validations. Later extract job will run and will create a
transaction file with transactions of the card_ids and will FTP the file to
payment manager team.
Responsibilities:

Project: AMEX - Data Transformation Utility-AbInitio (DTU)
American Express is a global financial, travel and network service
provider. AMEX issues corporate cards to its corporate clients through
which it helps companies and institutions to manage their travel,
entertainment and purchasing needs.
The GDR is the single large data warehouse that stores/manages all the AMEX
Corporate card transactions worldwide. Feed to this database is received
from all over the world. There are over 300 tables maintained in the CMIS
instance and over 150 tables maintained in the GCMIS instance of the
database. Using AbInitio, a very strong Universal Database ETL tool, data
is captured from upstream, transformations are carried on according to the
requirement and loaded into the respective target tables and in some cases
reports are sent to the clients.
The data received as flat files from the Mainframe and also from Unix
systems are picked up and processed using AbInitio tool and loaded into the
Data warehouse. Several developments and enhancements have been done to
improve the efficiency of this tool so that the clients have the data in
their reports ASAP. Using the MicroStrategy as the front end-reporting
tool, the clients are able to view the data in reports. A parallel database
called GFT (Global File tracking) is also maintained to keep track of all
load files loaded into the GDR. We are involved in all the enhancement,
maintenance, development and testing activities of this project.

There is a need for clients of AMEX to have all transaction and profile
data of their organization at card member level.This project provides
solutions to this problem of AMEX clients by providing data files which
consist of transaction and profile data.There are various tpyes of
templates for different types of transactions such as Unbilled
transactions, Billed Transactions,Hotel transactions, Air transactions,line
item detail transactions and Summarized transactions.Output files which
will be sent to clients will be in formats such as ASCII, EBCDIC and other
client requested file formats.Amex will charge its clients for sending the
transaction and profile data to its clients.

Description:
There is a need to provide global Commercial Card Clients with a
consistent level of data between AMEX Proprietary and non-Proprietary
Markets. Currently the CE Markets (Poland, Czech and Hungary) provide data
via GNS feeds. This project is analyzing leveraging of the Global AR
Finland/Sweden feeds from TSYS using the DATA DEF files.The Data Def files
consist of data similar in detail/completeness to Amex Proprietary Markets.
The new data stream would provide Hierarchy, Card Member Details and
detailed Transaction information.Additionally, whereas today we only
receive the data daily and can not determine billing frequency, the new
feeds will consist of Daily and Cyclical data.

GNS partner ASAL (American Express Saudi Arabia Limited) is migrating
its A/R billing platform from the Amex proprietary CARE platform to another
A/R platform hosted by a third party named CTL (Card Tech Limited). The A/R
platform provides all of the transaction information that underpins our
Multi-national, Regional and Global MI reporting capabilities. In order to
continue to capture transaction data for Saudi Arabian multi-national
clients for our MI reporting repositories, the required A/R related data
would be supplied by CTL after the migration.The objective of this project
is to receive the A/R data feed from CTL, run through DTU (Data
Transformation Utility) applications, and populate the data onto the Amex
data repositories, namely GDR (Global Data Repository), Air Sectors
Database (ASDB) and Property Level Reporting (PLR) Database.The GNS partner
will use the new GCS Commercial Card Data File Specifications for the new
transaction files. The data feed contains 15 record types to be included on
daily profile, daily transaction and cycle files.
