or assisting the development of new cleaning products, improving product performance and
saving money by reformulation and also working in the analytical department.
• In charge of over half the technical service for the Pulp and Paper Division.
• Assisted in the development of three successful new products.
• Personally developed a thickened, emulsion cleaner that is currently being t r ialed in
t he field.

• Evaluated the replacement of a particular non-ionic surfactant in four different
p roducts on the basis of aspects such as stability, foam height, wetting and

• Pioneered a new test method to evaluate products ability to prohibit adhesive from
s ticking to certain fabrics.
• Improved the existing method for testing cleaning effectiveness of products to a more
reproducible and statistically accurate method.
• Worked in the Analytical Department and became familiar with infrared
spectroscopy, x-ray spectroscopy and liquid ion chromatography.
