DIRECTOR OF QUALITY, Giddens Industries, Inc., Everett, WA (2008-2010)
Manager of 17 person Quality Assurance Department for an ISO/AS certified supplier to
The Aerospace industry. Responsibilities include Inspection, Quality Engineering, and
Document Control. Led the organization in the successful completion of 4 ISO audits and 3
NADCAP audits. Restructured the Inspection Department to better support a growing
manufacturing organization.
QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER, GIDDENS INDUSTRIES, Everett, WA (2006-2008)
Quality Engineer providing Supplier Quality support, Internal Auditing, Statistical Process
Control support, and Corrective Action services. Managing internal teams to successfully
complete NADCAP process audits and ISO system audits. Providing Quality Engineer
support for reporting and analysis of scrap data, Weld process improvement, and supplier
performance. Writing and updating procedures and work instructions to include welding,
heat treat, sensor testing, hardness testing, Statistical Process Control, Digital Product
Definition, Material Review Board and internal audits.
QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER, GT Development, Auburn, WA (2003-2005)
Quality Engineer for $35 million manufacturer of automotive parts. Supervised the
Inspection Department responsible for Receiving Inspection, First Article Inspection,
Source Inspection, and End-Item Inspection. Served as Quality representative on Material
Review Board team and new product introduction teams. Led the Customer Return Team in
analyzing and applying corrective action for all returned material. Managed the Corrective
Action, Statistical Process Control and Supplier Quality functions of the company.
QUALITY ASSURANCE, STI OPTRONICS, Bellevue, WA (2000-2002)
Functioning as the Quality Department for Laser Research and Development company
supplying parts for the Airborne Laser Project. Duties included Quality Engineer
responsibilities for drawing review, supplier liaison, Material Review Board, Change
Board, Corrective Action, and customer liaison on quality issues. Quality Technician duties
included Receiving Inspection, in-process inspection, and source inspection of all parts and
material used on the project.
SENIOR QUALITY ENGINEER, CRANE ELDEC CORPORATION, Lynnwood, WA
(1996-1999). Serving as Material Review Board Chairman for $130 million manufacturer
of military/commercial electronic and electromechanical aerospace/avionics. Other duties
including preparing Cost of Quality report for the corporation, consulting multiple
manufacturing cells on quality aspects of programs as specified in customer contract, and
overseeing implementation of Statistical Process Control.
