Legislative Strategist, October 2005 - March 2008

. Contributed in briefing Lieutenant General H Steven Blum, Chief of the

National Guard Bureau, for Congressional Hearings related to the

National Guard. In particular the National Guard's mobilization and

response to Hurricane Katrina.

. Responded to Members of Congress in regards to day to day questions

and concerns regarding the National Guard.

. Assisted Air and Army National Guard Officers in their dealings with

Congress. Advising Members of Congress and their staff in passing the

historic National Guard Empowerment Act. This raised the rank of the

Chief, National Guard Bureau to four stars and designated the Deputy

Commander of Northern Command in Colorado Springs to be a National

Guard Officer.
