Title: Marine Terminal Operator

Job Description: As a Marine Terminal Operator I was responsible for the

maintenance, testing and repairs on all pipelines, pumps, valves, and

electro-mechanical systems in the Terminal. They ranged from the Marine

Offloading Dock to the Delivery Truck Loading Rack. I was responsible for

all aspects of offloading gasoline, oil, and asphalt from ships and barges

into bulk storage tanks and then eventually into delivery vehicles. I

gauged and sampled storage tanks on a daily basis for all of the products

that come into the terminal. I was also responsible for accounting for the

products and testing them to verify they meet all required company and

government specifications and guidelines. I was required to perform data

entry and systems troubleshooting with the computer systems as well. My

position also required extensive interaction in person and on the phone

with Oil/Trucking/Barge/Inspection and Shipping company representatives. It

also entailed contact as a liaison between Motiva and the US Coast Guard

and the EPA on a regular basis. [pic]
