Responsibilities

I am currently a Senior Contract Specialist, for the Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) Program at

NAVAIR Lakehurst. The AAG is being developed as a system level replacement for the present

Mk 7 Shipboard Arresting Gear System. The AAG is intended for backfit into CVN-68 class

carriers and forward fit on CVNX class carriers. The AAG provide new operational capabilities,

including the ability to safely and efficiently recover both heavier/faster aircraft and lightweight

unmanned air vehicles (goal) that will enter the Fleet in the coming years. I have also worked on

the F-18 program. The F-18 Team is responsible for the procurement and administration of

Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) and Engineering Support. The F-18 Program also supports

seven international customers, emphasizing cooperative development and partnerships for

foreign military sales to Australia, Canada, Finland, Kuwait, Malaysia, Spain and Switzerland.

My responsibilities include planning, negotiating, and drafting cost type and fixed price

procurements. The following is a list of my duties and accomplishments:

-Act as a Business Advisor with the Program Managers and other competency representatives

during all acquisition phases

-Provide acquisition planning and interact with the various programs involving all contract
