HIGHLIGHTS AND CAREER ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Rotonda West Community, Rotonda, FL – Lead landscape architect providing landscape architectural and
professional planner services for the project. Services included the development of a community landscape
plant palette that identified cold hardy, drought tolerant plantings for future landscaping projects and for
phasing the replacement of chronic underperforming existing plant materials as well as; a landscape design
for the newly reconstructed Rotonda West Community Center, and Marina. Planning services include the
development of community branding through public workshops and the preparation of a Rotonda West
Community Design Standards Pattern Book which will serve as a guide to improvement design for future
community improvements, creating a sense of place.
Tampa General Hospital Rose Garden Redesign, City of Tampa, FL. – Lead landscape architect and
professional planner providing conceptual plan design services for this half acre green space located at the
center of the Tampa General Hospital (TGH) campus on Davis Island in the City of Tampa. The planned
renovations were carefully developed to incorporate a Feng Shui design theory to harness the gardens healing
powers, reflect natural elements, and provide a series of contiguous and functional spaces while applying
sustainable/Green Building design and construction practices to accommodate all visitors in a safe and
aesthetically pleasing environment. Once completed the Rose garden will serve as a natural oasis within the
busy and often overwhelming TGH campus.
Victor Posner City Center, Polk County, FL. Lead landscape architect providing design services for
permitting and construction of this commercial center’s gateway entry sign, landscaping and irrigation. Our
services consisted of developing the main entry sign and landscaping concept designs, construction details,
permitting, bidding, and construction phase services. The landscaping and irrigation design was developed
along the main project entry road of Victor Posner Boulevard, Interstate 4 rear buffers, and US Highway Route
27 project frontage including upgrades around the project entry signs. The landscape at the entry signs
consisted of enhanced/ specimen, “Florida Friendly” plant material selections to provide an established
appearance.
US41 Landscape Enhancement and Gateway Features, North Port, FL Project manager and lead
landscape architect for construction phase and bidding services for the installation of gateway features,
landscaping, sidewalk/hardscape, irrigation, and lighting for the project. This project promotes water
conservation by utilizing drip irrigation for all planted beds, soil moisture sensors and an ET controller that will
monitor and adjust the amount of reuse needed on the project. The landscape up-lighting also uses advanced
technology that saves energy compared to traditional lighting fixtures. The majority of the plants on the project
are native and/or drought tolerant. The gateway features identify the City of North Port and the gateway to the
West Villages Improvement District.
Sumter Boulevard Improvements Phases II and III, North Port, FL Lead landscape architect for phase II
construction services and phase III design services for this project to widen the existing two-lane roadway to a
four-lane roadway. The length of roadway improvement was approximately 3 miles for each phase. Overall
services include roadway design, signalization, new bridge design, intersection improvements, corridor
planning (including enhancing the bicycle and pedestrian features along the corridor), landscape architecture,
treatment of streetscape and hardscape, storm water management, utility relocation, and a public involvement
program.
West Villages Improvement District, North Port, FL Lead landscape architect for a 2.6-mile thoroughfare
for newly developed Village Land Use Classification. “The Parkway” provides for regional connections in rural
areas. It is proposed as a two-lane divided road, and designed to accommodate four lanes in the future. Major
components include interconnecting of all neighborhood and village networks, incorporation of multi-modal
facilities, and traffic calming measures. A high level of landscape treatment is required to reflect the identity of
this state-of-the-art, emerging Florida development district.
The Woodlands at College Station, Texas A&M University Project manager and lead landscape
architect for this retail/commercial development project to develop a conceptual plan for the retail component
of a previously designed and private college housing community associated with Texas A&M University.
Services provided include layout development, entryway design including signage, development of internal
site features, site connectivity study, and color graphics for the client's marketing purposes. Graphics were
initially developed to provide a realistic development density, identify a representative level of design treatment
for this site, and to help clarify the design intent by providing unlimited visuals of the proposed improvements.
These graphics were later utilized to create the final marketing graphics.
Durand Park Memorial Arboretum, Freehold Township, NJ Project manager and lead landscape
architect for this passive recreational facility developed on 100 acres of donated farmland in a rural area of the
Township. Responsible for conceptual site plan design and development, public presentations, development
and preparation of construction documents, project bidding, and site construction supervision. The park
consisted of 3 specific elements; the establishment of a native and managed native grass meadow, a
memorial arboretum commemorating local victims of the September 11, 2001 WTC terrorist attack, and a
native wild flower butterfly garden.
Marlboro Aquatic Center, Marlboro Township, NJ Lead landscape architect for this projects
landscaping, lighting, and site amenities selections and design. As lead landscape architect for this project I
was responsible for amenity material selections and placement, landscaping and irrigation, site furnishings
and parking lot lighting development, as well as landscape architectural construction phase services. The
project cost was approximately $1.83 million
