In August of 2012 This company called me, called Nuclear Logistics Inc. We work AT Exide/GNB
but not FOR GNB/Exide. We supply backup power systems for Nuclear Power Plants among other
backup power systems. My former QA Engineer recommended me to NLI. We did a lot of QA.
•NLI watches and checks everything.
We watch the post being cast
We inspect every plate (positive and negative) that goes into our batteries.
We check the the temperature for the first 4 hours of formation
•We do our own testing and we have to ?trapthem in just like there going to be in a Nuclear Power
Plant
We watch them do the Finish and Pack process and then ship them.

Exide Technologies
Worked in QA. Tested incoming pos and neg lead oxide as well as acid. Did Quality Audits in Casting,
Pasting, Flooded, Finish and Pack etc, Was responsible for teardowns on failed capacity cells on
flooded and absolyte. Was the back up person for calibration, all gauges, hydrometers, thermometers,
shunts etc. Worked on several special projects with the engineers, such as Plate Specs, Tray Specs and
on the Navy Line. Did float matches on Flooded Cells and Platinum Dosing. Collected quarterly
samples for corporate testing, documented, packed and shipped. Helped certify burners in Absolyte and
Flooded by collecting, shaving, heating, polishing and measuring burn depth. Many more duties.
I left Exide to do the LMT business. Exide was going thru a transition period and our QA director had
just left.

Worked in the paint department. Cust Service, Put up Stock, mix paint. I really liked working at Lowes
and I love helping people out. I left to go to Exide for more money.

Moved into Information Technology and worked in that department for 7 years. Developed our first
database that could track a job in real time thru the plant. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access and
Powerpoint.
Taught myself Visual Basic and I have also developed databases in Lotus Notes.
Left IT to return to the pressroom.
I love printing and working in the print shop. There is still a craftsmanship in the old printing presses
that I love. The digital presses and digital copiers they have now you just push a button.
I left WW&L to pursue the dream of owning my own business. That's when my brother in law and I
bought Insty Prints.
