1996-2011 My main roles of responsibilities are to provide support on DB2

OS390 sub-systems as a DB2 System programmer and DB2

Administrator.

Besides doing the DB2 support also providing the third level on

call support and problems solving in any products that related to

mainframe. In a way expose to all kind of products from System

prospective, Databases, Storage, CICS, MQ, JES2,JES3, Batch

processing and all kind of third-party products. I.e. Maintenance,

Installation, Customization, Upgrading & Migration.

Responsibilities:-

DB2 System Programmer & DBA

1996 – 2010

• Installing, customizing and upgrade the DB2 sub-systems.

• Implementing, maintaining and managing DB2 sub-systems.

• Performance monitoring and tuning.

• Establish standard for DB2 control / security and backup / recovery procedures.

• Assist users / application analysts from system design process until implementation process

(Data model, access path, Table spaces type, Interface CICS/TSO/RACF).

DB2 V310, V510, V610, V710& V810 In-place migration.

DB2 migration project. Involved in project planning and technical upgrades for DB2

CICS upgrade exercise from version 1.7 to 2.1 and 4.1. Was involved right from planning,

ensure the project is successfully completed.

MVS Upgrade XA to ESA.

Mainframe OS upgrade exercise from MVS/XA to ESA and to OS/390. Was involved right from

planning, evaluation, migration, monitoring, putting fixes, s/w upgrades and coordinating with all

parties to ensure the project is successfully completed. Apart from technical, the experience gain

includes dealing with various parties within and outside the organization.

MVS Mainframe replacement project.

Mainframe upgrade exercise from ES9000 to CMOS base and to OS/390, especially in

application software product mainly on SAP/R2, SAP/R3 and DB2 version 3, 5, & 6.

Setting up new connection link and interface between Telephony systems resides in Sun

Solaris platform to DB2 in host as well as the DRDA fixtures being activated. Involvement from

DB2 sub-system and SAP/R2.

Participate & simulate a recovery test/life at hot site and onsite and develop & enhance the
