ZeroChaos, 111 N. Orange Ave Orlando FL 32801(04/05-11/07)
Infrastructure Analyst Application Integration Testing (AIT) Lab Technical
Lead. Responsible to receive input from the field, document the steps
taken to validate the problem, track the issue and report to Management the
progress as the solution developed and tested, verify accuracy of the
documentation and ensure solution was provided to the help desk. To
accomplish this I was responsible to interact with the technicians on site
to verify equipment and software being used, make recommendations to the
Network Operations Center (NOC) for changes in policy and properly
recording the decision to deploy solutions. This required updating Active
Directory (AD) for association of Applications to Machines as well as
providing user account maintenance (Password, Group, etc). Specifically,
when new software was requested, I was responsible for the initial testing
of the software against the environment the software was to be used in,
creating the MSI that would then be used to remotely install the software,
for the process of submitting for certification, and for maintaining the
primary database that contained all approved applications. I was
responsible for writing hardware installation instructions to be used by
the deployment team for installing and setting up for use by the customer.
To accomplish this required being able to determine from our records, all
hardware involved, all software involved and the network infrastructure at
the location where installation was taking place. Our process was to create
and MSI to automate as much of the installation as possible to reduce the
possibility of errors being made by the deployment team. As a Tech Lead, I
was responsible to train new personnel on our existing tools and software,
to provide guidance and instruction to newly hired personnel. This
includes, installation and testing to determine that the application
functions within the assigned. I was responsible to arrange for and
monitor the availability of workers and to adjust workload to accommodate
the work force available. Additionally I was responsible to monitor the
Database of available applications.
