Lead tester responsible for integration testing of telecommunication

network infrastructure engineering, maintenance and order processing

software.

. Served on the pioneering team of software Engineers who tested and

launched Verizon's first long-distance telephone and wireless network,

currently generating >$106B

. As the Subject Matter Expert (SME) served as the lead tester and Single

Point of Contact (SPC) on the legacy nationwide [former] Global Network

Solution (fGNS) system consolidation, which in turn facilitated the

incorporation of Bell Atlantic and GTE long distance services into

Verizon network

. Project managed system integration, automation, testing, scheduling,

reporting and resource management of the system used to integrate >41M

residential and commercial landline and wireless customers into Verizon

network

. Liaised with 6 Project Managers and 11 OSS teams to coordinate the fGNS

system testing and consolidation

. Built and maintained one-on-one relationship with the clients to

identify and address emerging design and testing concerns

. Served as the Lead Tester responsible for system migration testing of

Verizon's legacy Order Provisioning System (NSPM) and launch testing of

the new consolidated system (BGW), leading to >$2M reduction in

operational costs

. Served as the Lead Tester overseeing the testing and the launch of

Verizon's DWDM systems (Lambda Unite & Lambda Extreme) allowing

provisioning of services requiring higher bandwidth (OC-192/10G Sonet);

the new systems facilitated the launch of such revenue generating

services as Video on demand (FIOS) and VoIP

. From the ground up, rebuilt a corrupted database used for managing the

inventory for >10K testing equipment and other resources; thus

eliminating >$20K in expenditures for outsourcing the task

. Annually, led >10 software upgrade testing & release projects for the

Navis Fault Management System; analyzed & prioritized the alarms

generated for timely intervention to ensure operational continuity,

system integration and compatibility of the entire Verizon network

. Led the system integration testing efforts for the Node

Removal/Insertion project used to increase capacity of the high

bandwidth lines by >30%

processing systems.

. Oversaw the end-to-end Y2K testing of >50 primary IRS tax-processing

As a test engineer consultant was contracted out to Ciena and Citicorp.

. At Ciena was responsible for systems level testing of Ciena's DWDM

optical transport systems (16, 40 and 80 channel systems). Developed and

executed software and hardware test plans. Provided support for the

initial field trials

. At Citicorp provided hardware and software testing, including test plan

generation, running scripts and executing test cases and providing

technical reports for Citicorp's system integration department. Performed

stress, regression and acceptance testing

As a Performance Analyst for a NASA contractor provided operation and test

support for the Hubble Space Telescope Payload Operations Control Center.
