Audio Visual Manager
Provide all Audio/Visual requirements of CIA Headquarters in McLean, VA and its extensive ancillary
venues, serving a community of over 4,000 employees.
- Provide technical support to simultaneous multiple events. Interface and maintain detailed relationships
with multiple departments to ensure appropriate delivery of services. Create official correspondence and
documents for AECOM and Federal Government.
- Supervise and manage a 600-seat Auditorium for secure briefings and presentations; provide interactive
audio/visual/computer services, VTC, world-wide live program streaming and video documentation.
- Evaluate, purchase, install, and operate equipment in venues indoors and out. Oversee work of
subcontractor services. Administrate sophisticated computer software.
- Manage personnel within the branch including hiring, disciplinary actions, training and performance
evaluations. Create scheduling, work assignments, approve timecards. Design and instruct training
curriculums.
Broadcast Recording Engineer

- Serve as primary engineer for a 96-track analog/digital recording facility - recorded, overdubbed and
mixed complex multi-track studio projects with Wynton Marsalis, Elvis Costello, Joni Mitchell, KISS, the
Allman Brothers Band and dozens of other internationally-renowned musicians.
- Lead live broadcast engineer at venues across US. Responsible for Event Design, recording; mixing,
ISDN management; transmitting and political, theatrical and musical performances. Events included live
Presidential election convention coverage to international music festivals to National Geographic
expeditions.
- Personal live engineer for CBS and NPR music host and performer Dr. Billy Taylor
- Broadcast Engineer, operate audio consoles for live-to-network program broadcasts.
- Master Control Operator, coordinate international resources utilizing ScheduAll; make global
connections via patchbays, Internet, ISDN/IP codecs, Skype, satellite phones, VTC; enter complex

Additional Information
Serving as audio broadcast/recording engineer and AV technician charged with global transmissions, live-
to-network broadcasts, multi-track studio engineering, field events, Master Control operations and
audio/visual presentations has been the hallmark of my career. I have collaborated on studio design and
construction from the pouring of the concrete slab, carpentry, wiring and equipment installation to patch
bay design and interconnections.
My off-the-clock activities include world travel, musical performing, documentary videography, welding
and acoustic instrument repair/restoration. No welding performed on acoustic instruments.
