Experience: I hold dual master's degrees in Marriage Family Therapy and
Psychology focusing on Management and Supervison thus I type 60 wpm. I
have worked for the Veteran's Hospital for 26 years, working in various
departments such as the Mental Health department, the Alcohol and Drug
Treatment program and the Dental clinic as a Dental Technician. I have
worked as a clerk for several different clinics as well as a ward clerk for

Practicum: For my practicum, I volunteered at the Jary Barreto's Crisis
Center. Jary Barreto's Crisis Center is a facility which offers services to
clients including Veterans who has been diagnosis as being dual diagnosis.
Its mission is to design and deliver culturally-sensitive, client-centered
mental health services for adults utilizing a psychosocial rehabilitation
philosophy, and culturally-sensitive, family-centered mental health
services for children.
Duties: My duties were conducting group and individual sessions. I also
conducted sessions with the clients to assist them with their personal,
family, educational, mental health and their career decisions and problems.
Business Owner: In 2003 I founded a 24 hour nonprofit organization which
focuses on helping those in need in which I supervised 12 or more
volunteers. Thos organization offered assistance in areas from food
supplies, gas cards, running errands for the elderly, day care,
transportation services, visiting the sick . It was my duty as a supervisor
to coordinate work assignments, oversee the finances as well as performing
disciplinary counseling when needed.
Hobbies: In 2009 I obtained the position of the assistant director for the
singles ministry at my church. I am the liaison for a group of 25 singles.
I am responsible for facilitating speaking engagements and power point
seminars that would assist in enhancing one's spiritual life. Each year I
participate in the one day Breast Cancer walk in honor of all women and men
who has had to suffer from this disease.
