The Undisputed Guru Sensimilla resume.

"Three may keep a secret, if two of them are dead"

Benjamin Franklin

US author, diplomat, inventor, physicist, politician, & printer (1706

- 1790)

My name is Dennis George Norton aka "The Undisputed Guru" - I have spent

the past 27 years living and studying in Newhall, a little crook in south

Derbyshire

voted 'number one weirdest place in the UK' by Bizarre Magazine. I started

out young,

I was only 14 when first struck by my many cannabinoid receptors but

scoring was illegal, expensive and only accessible through

'Drug trafficking gangs'

To me it seemed my only option was to master the art of cultivation and

bring worship to my addiction.

I have now been studying and growing for over 12 years. At first, just a

hobby for some free smoke,

and then a passion & craving for the ultimate perfection in the art of

sensimilla cultivation.

Through the studying of all the best books on the subject, videos and what

the net has available I would say my knowledge

is both professional & adept.

For the past 8 years I have been harvesting a crop every 4 weeks and I am

currently using the Amazon aeroponic systems (not real aeroponic I know)

I'm a big fan of bare root mass and huge yields. I have a complete

understanding of TRUE aeroponics, full drainage, atomizing the nutrient

solution etc and I'm currently looking into buying a TRUE aeroponic system

but they're not cheap and getting one in this country is not easy.

I have 12 years' experience in organic, hydroponics and aeroponics, indoor

and outdoor cultivation.

Systems of which I am fluent resulting in numerous successful crops.

Wilma drip systems (re circulating and run to waste)

Nutrient Film Technique

EBB/Flood and drain

Multi flow IWS EBB system

Deep Water Culture

Multi flow IWS DWC system

Amazon aeroponic system

(Obviously I've done the basic hand watering soil and pot ponics)

I have help set up and guided two friends on vertical growing one friend

using the Coliseum the other brought the Ecosystem but I have never

personally grown using vertical systems.

Nutrient's I have produced crops with

B Cuzz

Advanced Nutrients

Canna

Vitalink

My current nutrient arsenal

Vitalink AnB (but going to try Canna Aqua)

Vitalink foliar feed

Hygrozyme

Cannazym

Canna boost accelerator

Canna PK 13/14

Canna start

Canna Flush

Buddhas Tree PK 9/18

Ana Superthrive

Water!

Knowledge & experience

If not using Amazon systems or if I'm commercial growing then my preferred

method is multi flow DWC or EBB, next to this would be Coco substrate fed

via drippers. As stated I have used all these methods and I am very

competent with them.

Although despite what system you use or if it's organic or hydro, the

biggest over looked problem in indoor cultivation is AIR FLOW VENTILATON

especially when growing large sativa strains. Before you know it you've hit

the "glass ceiling" everything seemed fine then mid flower the plant just

didn't produce what she should, yellowing of so many leaves so early and

basically in total a poor harvest. 9 times out if 10 if the grower has had

a few crops under his/her belt and hasn't caused the plant to lock-out,

this is caused by insufficient ventilation.

Next on the list is understanding N-P-K and interactions between nutrients

(Ions, anions and the Cation exchange capacity) the most fundamental of

this is NPK, and most gardeners start getting confused at about week two in

flower production, like when I see questions still being asked

"Can I give Canna PK 13/14 all the way through flower?"

Simply asking the question means they don't understand.

Then CO2 supplementation, I'm sorry if you're using extraction fans and the

volume of air has been calculated correctly, then the CO2 WILL be removed!

It is not heavy enough! CO2 only works in sealed air-conditioned rooms. The

truth is using a correct extraction setup including intake will give the

right balance of CO2 needed. As far as CO2 supplementation goes to warrant

using it FIRST you need to understand the plants metabolic rate. (A plant

can only use so much CO2)

I know there's plenty more things about the art of cultivation I'm just

touching on the subjects that even experienced horticulturalist working on

indoor/outdoor farms and with hydroponics/soil go wrong.

Back to me! I started out in the back garden fighting against England's

fantastic weather using soil in pots and hand watering; this is where I

quickly learnt the importance of understanding species sativa, indica and

ruderalis and how to identify their characteristic's then obviously how to

spot males/females and hermaphrodites. I then quickly moved indoors and

started using Wilma drip systems (still in soil) and started experimenting,

bare in mined I wasn't trying to make money out of it (not yet anyway) I

wanted to try everything nothing speaks better than doing it! So after a

couple of years of organic next stop hydroponics.

I began with Canna coco it's not True hydroponics as such but definitely

the next step. Out came the soil in went coco. I was already familiar with

Canna products as I had used some when I was experimenting and learning

about hydro feeds in organic medium. It was pretty straight forward really

using coco, its texture isn't far from soil but with added benefit of not

being able to over water, I learned the hard way about keeping mother

plants in coco, not everything is so obvious but a great step in learning

about interactions between nutrients and mediums.

Next I used 50/50 mix of clay pebbles and small cubes of Celmax still using

Wilma systems, I moved on to using Vitalink products and this was the start

of True hydroponics.

Then came the system change, any normal person would of just gone straight

to EBB given the pots and the medium, but at this point i had done so many

crops, its illegal in England and getting rid of these huge root balls

after each crop was a nightmare, you can reuse coco and soil given the

right treatment, if you wanted to throw it away it doesn't look strange.

But 50/50 pebbles and Celmax is a onetime only deal really and throwing

that root ball away can certainly lift a few eyebrows.

NFT, Good old Nutrient Film Technique was my next choice so off I went

practicing and learning NFT. I didn't like NFT really and I don't know why

it was everything I wanted, but I'm on a mission and I would have to change

my system at one time or another, if I am to become a master.

EBB was next I know I'm going back to lots of medium but 100% clay pebbles

can be reused several times (and more times than they say, as I have and

saw no reduction in growth or yield!)

There were no multi flow systems on the market at this point so the

trustworthy EBB trays were used. This system I love it's an all-time

favourite superb easy to use and the performance was incredible. BUT I must

press on so...

DWC, Deep Water Culture is for me one of the greatest simplest hydroponic

systems ever but was hard work commercially until multi flows came on the

market. When I worked at an aquatic shop (perfect job when into

hydroponics) I told my boss what I was doing, he liked a good smoke but he

was a very clever engineer at heart. We got talking one day and I told him

about DWC and explained to him that it's the best but not on a large scale,

off he went drawing some design right there and then he came up with the

first multi flow DWC system ever! But using float valves and a mechanical

timer instead of the IWS float valve system. (This wasn't around yet)

Amazon, I stuck with DWC until I found the Amazon, I had already looked

into Aeroponics and knew that this wasn't TRUE Aeroponics but it looked

intriguing and a guy at Growell hydroponics promised I would see the

difference, and he wasn't wrong.

This is a brief cover of my evolution though cultivation and please don't

think I've just been playing with small plantations in my house. I have

mentioned the word commercial and I have been responsible for two large

commercial operations in the UK both were under investigation by the police

but to no prevail! I'm not called the Undisputed Guru for nothing!

Summery.

I have no qualifications in hydroponics. I don't have a Valid California

Doctor's recommendation or Valid California DL/ID. I have 12 years of

experience that no book or certificate can give and passion that burns the

very core of my soul. Most people can't even begin to imagine the things I

have done in the quest to gain the knowledge and most importantly the

experience I have in the cultivation of Sensimilla, definitely not in

England! And you would be hard pushed to find anyone that truly has tried,

tested and actually physically done the many different things I have.

So please if you want a completely dedicated very experienced

Horticulturalist get in contact.
