Hop-Limited Flooding Aug 2012 - Dec 2012

• A program coded in python that will try and avoid loops in a network caused by either

switches in layer 2 or routers in layer 3

• The program codes the controller and picks out a packet that goes around in a loop.

• The code picks out the packet based on number of hops the packet has traversed while

being in the loop

Addressing the Security Issue Related to Smart Grid Network Aug 2012 - Dec 2012

• The Smart Meter connected to the central grid is vulnerable to various kinds of attacks –

both physical and cyber

• To avoid this, a NFC is place on the smart meter that will be used to communicate to the

smart meter and hence the possibility of cyber or physical attack becomes almost negligible

Wireless streaming of Video

• Coded a Raspberry Pi so that it can run a VLC client which will stream video in real time

from any place in the world

• The person who wants to stream a video to the Raspberry Pi will enter the IP address of the

wireless receiver connected to the Raspberry Pi and can stream audio as well as video

easily

Mechatronix Security System Aug 2012 - Jun 2012

• Used software coded in embedded C along with PIC16F690 to create a smart lock.

• Along with help from Design team at Godrej Industries, India me and my 3 fellow colleagues built the lock.

The lock is currently being sold in the market

• The lock provides a very high level of security and the key to such a lock cannot be duplicated

• A combination of AT89C51 along with code written in embedded C was used to implement a

piano. It produced 10 sounds at different frequencies

• A software code written in VHDL to simulate an actual dice
