Broadband OSP Network Design and CAD Drafter

Provided drafting of base maps used for field engineering, drafted new

plant (aerial and underground)

Designed Broadband Networks and Fiber backbone showing Amp and Power supply

location and all related technical data. I Designed and draft over 10,000

of plant including MDU & MTU properties. This included a Bill of Materials

and all documentation required by client.

Supervised field engineers in the collection of data for MDU design, in a

system with 1,500 miles of plant, including Army and Navy basses.

1999-2008 - Arbor Eden Inc. Kent, WA

OSP Network Designer and CAD Drafter

In 1999 I started my own company, Arbor Eden Inc. and began working for

Telco and CATV companies.

I have Designed (fiber & coax) and CAD Drafted for; Comcast, Concord, CA,

The J&L Group Islandia NY, Expertech American Div, Barrie, Ontario Canada,

City of Tacoma Click Network!, WA, Cable Contractors Inc., Iron Mountain

MI, Aspen International Salem, OR,

Broadband clients included Time Warner Communications, Comcast

Communications, Charter Communications and The Click Network. Most recently

Solcom had me field new acquisitions, designing and drafted coax for

Comcast in Concord, CA. I also designed and drafted extensions and

revisions as well as update fiber splice schematics and fiber route

drawings.

Expertech and The J&L Group had me field routes, design and draft Hubs for

Verizon's FIOS build in Long Island NY. Field work included documenting

guying and anchoring and measuring for clearance violations on aerial

plant.

2008-2011 - Welsco Inc., Paragould, AR ( now Infotech )

OSP Network Designer and CAD Drafter

As a FiOS Engineer I worked as an Off Premise Contractor for Verizon for

new and existing Commercial & Residential buildings. I surveyed the

property to determine how to bring FiOS to each unit and determine if the

cost was within Verizon guidelines. I then design and draft the job in

AutoCAD and sent to Welsco.. I worked on Greenfield MDU's (new

construction) in Santa Monica and Los Angeles and out of franchise work

orders to bring fiber to cell tower. I work with the Verizon and City

inspectors, the property owner and contract construction crews to ensure

the work is completed in a timely manner.

04/2011 thru 10/2011 - Findley Engineering

OSP Network Designer and CAD Drafter

Worked for Findley Engineering on a RUS project for Ballard Telephone

Corporation in West Kentucky. Primary duties were field work for FTTH and

drafting as-built.

10/11 thru 09/12 - Impact Solutions Consulting

OSP Network Designer and CAD Drafter

I worked as an Off Premise Contractor FiOS Engineer for Verizon for new and

existing Commercial & Residential buildings. Primary duty was to survey the

properties to determine how to bring FiOS to each unit and determine if the

cost was within Verizon guidelines. I also did field surveys for fiber BAU

and pole loading survey work.

Design and Drafting Programs

CATV Broadband

I own LODE DATA Design Assistant & Drafting Assistant and AutoCAD 2006. I

have over 15 years experience with LODE DATA Design Assistant the

predominant program for designing of coax networks.

I also have experience with ATTMap a program used by COMCAST in conjunction

with Design Assistant and AutoCAD.

Verizon

IDDS, ICGS, AAIS, BDMS are the programs I used at Verizon in California.

At the J&L Group I used VISIO to draft the HUBS I designed for Verizon in

NY.

BALLARD Telephone Corp.

MAPCOM M4Solutions is what Ballard bought to draft their new fiber network

and show fiber connectivity. CAD maps of existing copper plant were

converted to the M4Solutions format.

I was asked to develop new symbols and line types for their fiber build as

none existed when I arrived. I have been drafting the as-built in MAPCOM

M4Solutions and the fiber schematics in AutoCAD 2006.
