|PROJECT DESCRIPTION |

The Project GSM controlled Autonomous Robot is based on 8 bit

Microcontroller ATmega 8L. The DTMF IC is used. Today we are going to study

GSM controlled robots. This is a robot, which can be controlled by using

cell phone Later on we can build application like controlling the

electricity of a building with a cell phone using same development board.

The Microcontroller controls all the above systems. In our project, we are

using the popular 8-bit microcontroller ATmega 8L. It is a 28-pin

microcontroller.

The Microcontroller ATmega 8L is used to control the motors. It gets the

signals from the DTMF decoder IC (HT9170B) and it drives the motors

according to the inputs. Two DC geared motors are used to drive the robot.
