I worked in a multi-faceted position. This included entering the
number of new recycle bins placed into the company database
utilizing an excel spreadsheet. I had to survey potential locations
for recycle bin placements and visited local governments to request
permits for them. In addition, I performed community outreach by
attending various events to promote Planet Aid's mission.
Nov. 2009 – Customer Service Manager - Vision Envelope and
Feb. 2011 Printing Company, Inc., Los Angeles, CA
I assisted in sales and customer service involving envelopes,
invitations and other printing orders. This was a volunteer,
part-time position.
May 2009 – Volunteer – United States Peace Corps, Suriname,
Sept. 2009 South America
I educated local villagers in the area of community
health education (e.g., HIV/AIDS education, nutrition and water
sanitation). This involved organizing meetings with village
leaders to understand local issues and develop a plan. I
prepared grant proposals to obtain funding for projects and
learned Dutch and Tonga languages. As a prerequisite to joining
the Peace Corps, I volunteered at CSUN’s Student Health Center.
