Purchasing

Obtain order and acquire product cost & quantities, including

Acquire, print, & analyze suggested re-order report from vendors

Review, work-up, create, enter, & print, then fax/call/e-mail and

expedite purchase order/requisitions

Schedule freight shipment from vendors

Oversee warehouse to confirm/verify all vendor merchandise ordered

is complete

Check status, assist, troubleshoot and resolve any shipping errors from

vendors

Receive purchase order/requisition into computer

Maintain inventory of stock and non-stock merchandise including

invoice & purchase order correspondence

Create, enter and facilitate direct shipments from vendors to

customers

Manage actual “flow” of inventory including, performing spot checks,

audits, notifying Corporate of any adjustments to assure inventory

accuracy

Regulate and move slow-moving/dead inventory

Create and enter branch transfers from Corporate as well as,

processing transfers from branch to Corporate

Supply accurate & current information and support regarding pricing,

vendor files, catalogues, literature, brochures MSDS sheets, etc…in

order to assist customers, Corporate office, branch management, sales,

office, and warehouse personnel

Print, analyze and resolve issues on re-order, and back-order reports

Customer Service

Extensive knowledge of customer service (e.g. creating, entering, and

completing customer orders)

Pricing quotes (request cost from vendors, calculate re-sale pricing,

submit bids)

Warehouse Operations

Supervise all warehouse employees (interview prospective new

warehouse personnel, arrange pre-employment drug screening, safety

training including continual safety meetings)

Administer verbal & written warnings, and terminations

Oversee all warehouse operations including maintenance on forklifts,

order pickers, delivery trucks (schedule repairs, inspections, and

registration records)

Verify, enter, and maintain current bin locations

Coordinate teams and count physical inventory

Outside Sales

Call on existing customers, and pursue potential new customers

I have also performed many job duties as needed (order business forms from Corporate,

distribute payroll checks, etc.).
