Professional Experience in Municipalities

For all Original & Maintenance works relating to roads, storm water drains, revetments,

retaining walls, culverts, bridges, schools and other commercial buildings Estimates, Plans

etc.prepared.Schedules for Tenders prepared,involved in calling for tenders for all the works.

Execution of all works by monitoring all sections labourors with keen coordination and arranged

for early completion as per schedule.

Special road works including cement concrete pavements for 1999-2000 and 2000-2001

have been executed in Chidambaram and Karur Municipalities and completed as per World Bank

norms.in time.PERT and CPM charts prepared then and there for every major projects and

produced during weekly,monthly review meetings.

I engaged in water supply, drainage, waste water treatment works including house service

connections in all the Municipalities.

Supervision of Head water works in the municipalities and major improvements in rejuvenation

works, studying corroded pipes portion, replacement where ever necessary to augment the

sources for water supply.For implementing Under Ground Drainage Schemes,all the preliminary

steps taken by me,Outline estimates prepared and got approved for taking up the project

proposals sent to Government for approval.Compost yard maintainence woprks,burial ground,wells for water supply tree planting done to aviod odour and to aviod environmental pollution due

to burning of dead bodies.

TWAD Board

Urban Division – Trichy and Thanjavur

•In charge of Trichy Water supply improvement schemes – Trial run of 750mm Dia pumping

main, Head works improvements, Service reservoir constructions, laying of Distribution

mains.CPM and PERT charts prepared for every project,produced during works progress review

meetings by head of Departments as well as by the District Collector's works progress and

review meetings.

•Executed balance works for Lalapet W.S.S., Karur W.S.S, and Thanjavur W.S. Improvement

Schemes, the suction pipes,sluice vales,reflex valves have been changed and delivery lines

within Head work site and also.Transformer yard,new Generator set have been erected,power

cable works executed by me and improvement to Thanjavur Water Supply Scheme has been

effected and commissioned under my control..

• In Trichy Drainage Scheme I was engaged and executed all types of investigation of the omitted

gravity, pumping main, house service connections, manholes and left over. portions in the roads

for all the Pumping Station’s areas. During 8/81 to 6/84 and 3/88 to 5/89.

All the same have been rectified then and there by providing new man holes, gaps in HSC lines,

gravity mains and pumping mains have been executed by me after formalities with the approval

of the higher officials.The suction well,Grit wells were constructed,and the bottlenecks are

removed and Transformer yard works,power cable laying and erection of flow more pumps with

motors in Pumphouse in Thillainagar No4 block arranged for commissioning. in all other pumping

stations pending construction and completion of last man hole, suction well,collection of grit

chambers,Pump house in Block no 6 and interconnecting works completed under my

supervision. All the 6 Drainage Pumping stations were operated under my supervision all

sewerage water pumped to Main pumping station. Daily electricians,pump

operators,watchmen,grit removal persons will be informed through my junior officers for effecting

sewege disposal without stagnation at pumping stations during trial run period. Weekly meetings

attended by me along with officials at Superintending Engineer's office.Trichy and in some

monthly meetings at District Collector's office in connection with Trichy Drainage Scheme.

The flow tests were conducted in all the 6 pumping stations zones and up to Main

Pumping Station and pumping the entire collected sewege water towards head works situated at

Panchapur. All the gap works have been rectified then and there and made the scheme to fulfill

for good run, by me.

Near Trichy Collector’s Office, a Residential Colony called Raja Colony which was

completed omitted in Trichy Underground Drainage Scheme. The then District Collector and then

Superintending Engineer have instructed me to take up the challenging job in a meeting

conducted with the Local Administration Minister.

Accordingly the entire Raja Colony Residential area had been investigated by me by

taking levels, trial pits, L.S and C.S plans prepared, hydraulic designs prepared,3 types of

estimates have been prepared, by me.

Among the estimates prepared by me cost effective had been got approved and tenders have

been called for. The entire works from start to finish such as earthwork, gravity main laying

construction of manholes, flush tanks, ventilating shafts, HSCS, Collection well,Screen well

Pumping well and pumping main up to the main road Pumping Main, that leads to Block 5 Beema

Nagar Pumping station, had been executed by me.

Project formulation Division (Trichy)

•Attended investigation works, Leveling works, trial pits, preparation of LS & CS Plans and all

other relative plans and estimates prepared for Thuraiyur CWSS, Trichy W.S.S Improvements,

Pudukottai W.S.S and Karur W.S.S

The entire Cauvery River in Trichy up to 10 Kilometers from Kambarasampettai( ie

Trichy Municipal Corporation Water supply Head Works site) on either sides ie upstream

and downstream complete GIS and other surveys, trial bores having conducted under my

direct control and supervision for studying the sub soil strata,water table etc and finished

the survey in 2 months with team members in a recorded time, furnished the reports along

with plans, survey details and clarifications made with the Executive Engineer and as per

his guidance only all the survey details,plans, estimates prepared by our team for getting

approval for Combined Water Supply Schemes by the Government.The investigation of

River Cauvery basin survey taken for preparing CWSS for so many villages have been

discussed along with Engineering heads,Managing Director and with the joined meetings

held with the Government Secretaries for Municipalities,Rural Development,Finance and

with Chief Secretary. The meetings also attended with my team members along with

outline proposal estimates at Chennai. In the meeting itself the Secretaries have satisfied

with our reply when clarifying all matters about CWSS.

On the finalized survey records only so many Combined water supply schemes have been

evaluated( Ex) to Sivaganga municipality--CWSS to Ramanathapuram and way side

villages, estimates have been approved by Government, had the above schemes are

under use to the public.

R.W.S Division (Trichy and Tiruvarur) --- Rural Water Supply

•Investigation works for RWS schemes for the Panchayats in Thuraiyur and Uppliapuram unions

and in habitation of Patchamalai (Hills area) . Water supply works including construction of RCC

over head reserviors,erection of bore wells,laying of pumping mains to the wayside villages upto

branch reservoirs,and in the Town areas and from Service reservoirs distribution pipelines laid as

per my instructions during supervising the works In Hilly areas in some places pipelines laid and

in some acute places with special Rigs,bore wells erected through contractors and hand pumps

fitted for effecting water supply to the poor peoples in the habitations.

H.A.P.P Division (Trichy) Heavy Alloy Penetration Project

•It is a Defence Project. Executed with great involvement for Pilot Water supply and executed

bore wells in Forest area, Headwork’s and effected water supply through pumping main to the

Heavy Alloy Penetration project at Thiruvarambur. Responsible for Quality assurance and Quality

control for CI pipes supplied for work performed by others and for training and mentoring of junior

level staffs in the project.The entire works have been completed with TEAM spirit and completed

in a recorded time and water supply effected to the Project site.

District Level Technical Cell (Trichy)

DLTC was completely under the direct control of District Collectors in the respective districts.

Executed nearly 800 deep bore wells both in Hard rock and Sedimentary area in Trichy

Composite district through Trichy Collectorate Trichy. (Trichy, Karur, and Thiruvalluvar districts)All

the estimates prepared by me, got sanctioned, drilling Points selection decided after survey with

Geological Assistant and by me as per the selected locations in the habitations attached with the

villages in 3 districts, estimates prepared by me, got technical sanction, schedule for tenders got

approved,tenders called by Government .After finalisation of tenders, work order had been

issued by Head of Governments Heads. All the deep bore wells have been supervised by me

while drilling, errection of deep hand pumps and water supply effected in the habitations in 3

districts. Speeding up by engaging additional drilling plants RIGS explained to the contractor, and

engaged additional 3 more rigs to speed up the works. Every week, the District Collector

reviewed the progress of works. After seeing every month progress the District Collector

appreciated and give further instructions for early completion as per schedule.

From 2003 to 2007

After retirement I am fully engaged in consultation works relating to urban and rural infrastructure

projects in some of the Municipalities and Town panchayats.

After studying the bottle necks in such local bodies, many suggestions given by me and they

have been rectified in water supply and underground drainage works.

Preparing papers for presenting to US, Japan China, Germany, India in connection with

Global changes,Solar energy, Water Supply,Waste Water Management and Solid Waste

Management Techniques for economy friendly in manufacturing of Power from the

wastages and balance safe disposal. Sea water pollution-raising level, and heating,

Ecology balance in the role of Environmental Activities. Recirculation of wastes, Fuel

shortages, Potable Water scarcity before 2020, War threatening among all countries,

Nuclear,Atomic projects draw backs. Air born contaminations which causes sudden death

to humans as well as other living creatures. Neutrino Observatory Project --near Theni

Collecting particulars from Chicago, Illinois, Canada and in Japan about the Neutrno

detector.BNR under study -how to add to Water and Waste Water Treatments plants.

From 2005 to 2008

I have worked in housing projects and petrol bank construction, consultation given for RCC

Chimneys. I was working as DGM-Projects in an Engineering Enterprises from 05-05-08 to 26-05-

08 in charge of all Water Supply Projects works in Tamilnadu and Andhra Pradesh states.

I was working as Chief Engineer in Saveetha University from 06-06-08 to till 06-11-2008, at

Chennai.

Engaged in preparation of important estimates for Interior Decoration works, Duck air contioning

works to Dentel Laboratories,HVAC (chillers) works,all civil works including Radiation Therapy

building as per the Consultant have been supervised and bills verification and completion

certificate given for all payments. The complete maintenances works for both Boys and Girls

Hostel attached with the college. The modernisation works to Hostel Kitchen was undertaken. For

Traffic and transportation of college buses, other staff cars, parking facilities, road formation

works were undertaken. Water supply and waste water treatment plants proposals given. For

make use of Solar energy in the college,hostel roofs proposals sent for approval. Very good lawn

formed in the college campus, and near Auditorium. The sound effects and other lighting works

remodification works done with great attraction to Auditorium .The electrical cabling works

renewed. For Fire fighting equipments, providing new fire Hydrants proposals have been

furnished by me. Every week along with college Professors the requirement meetings, then

discussion with Managing Director for finalisation of all works. then and there.

From 2009 to 2010

From 10-05- 10 to 30-11-10, I have been worked as Vice President (Municipal Projects) in Private

Enviro care systems. in Chennai. I was looking after the following 3 Municipalities ( Under Ground

Drainage Scheme) Sewerage Treatment Plants.

Kumbakonam Municipality --17 Mld Project--Balance works completed expect roof for Digester

well. One complete unit already in working condition. After completion of Digester well pipe

connections work, power cabling works pending for 2nd unit working. All the materials are

arranged for supply for rejection at site.

Thiruvarur Municipality 6 Mld complete work of Treatment plant has been stated. All the

units of collection chambers, screen chambers (both for manual and machine)

Primary Clarifier, Aeration Tank, Secondary Clarifier, Digester well.cholrination room, Electrical

room, Sludge collection and filter press arrangements ground level markings marked by the

Project Manager, with other engineers. The same was verified and all the arrangements for

starting the works and instructed the sub contractor to speed up the work. During the first unit

RCC works and for the Administration room (Framed Structure) up to ground level had been

completed. Due to heavy rains all the works stopped.

Thiruvallore Municipality 6 Mld The entire site has been marked and shown to Managing

Director TWAD Board. Since the site alloted for is belongs to PWD, untill otherwise the civil works

could not be executed.

In this situation I have resigned, since there won't be any work till January 2011 due to rain.
