Advance Micro-processor System Advanced Computer Architecture VLSI Design

Wireless Telecommunication Digital Image Processing Digital Signal Processing

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Programming Languages: C, C++, Verilog HDL, VHDL, Assembly Language

Other Languages : MATLAB, Perl, HTML

CAD Tools : Xilinx and Altera, PCB Designing OrCAD, Quartus II,Cadence, ModelSim

Operating Systems : Windows XP, ‘07, Unix/Linux, Macintosh

PROJECTS

• Project Associate, FPGA Design of Password Detector using 4 by 4 Keyboard Scanner

Tools used: Verilog HDL, Quartus II, Altera- ModelSim, DE2 Board Jan- May 11

Design project for the implementation of the Verilog HDL. The keypad scanner module is designed to

implement password protected system .The circuit is simulated by ModelSim simulator and synthesis is

done with Altera Quartus II on a Altera DE2 FPGA board.

• Project Associate, Design of bus arbiter for on-chip shared bus multiprocessor system Tools

used: VHDL, ModelSim- Altera, Quartus II Dec 08- April 09

Designed the bus arbitration schemes named static lottery bus and dynamic lottery bus architectures

using VHDL programming to solve problem of priority algorithm. Altera Quartus II, a design software,

is used to design and implement a circuit specified using the VHDL.

• Project Associate, Binary to gray code converter using Cadence August- Dec 10

VLSI project in which a binary to gray code converter is constructed which takes a four input binary

number and converts it into a corresponding gray code using Cadence tool.

• Project Associate, Chromosome Segmentation by MFISH Images

Tools used: C, OpenCV library August – Dec 09

Segmentation of overlapping and touching chromosomes using Entropy method. Multiplexed

Fluorescence In-situ Hybridization (MFISH) images were used which generally have touching and

overlapping chromosomes. Using the property of MFISH images Classification is first done followed

by the segmentation using entropy approach.

• Project Associate, Extraction of fetal ECG and rhythm estimation

Tools used: MATLAB August – Dec 09

Extraction of the fetal ECG signal from composite signal of the mother and fetus and rhythm estimation

of fetal ECG to detect cardiac abnormalities is done.

• Project Associate, Infrared remote switch Fall 2008

The designed switch could be modulated to tune with various device oriented applications like shutter

control, remote sensing for television. ORCAD is used to design PCB layout and it is manufactured

from basic level that is by making copper tracks by itching and drilling process.
