Title : Control of a Magnetic Suspension System using Optimal Control with
Integral Action
Department : Electrical Engineering
Description :
Derived Mathematical model for Magnetic Suspension System.
Designed a controller to stabilize and control a magnetic suspension system
used for tracking desired reference position signals.
Designed a Quadratic Optimal Controller with integral action
Controller was simulated using simulink and implemented on a XPC Target
Box.
Compared the performance of the quadratic Optimal Controller and Classical
controller.
Compared Performances of Optimal Controller with Sliding mode Controller
and Lyapunov Adaptive Controller.
Title : CAN Data Transfer Protocol Implementation.
Department : Electrical Engineering
Description :
CAN is extensively used in Automotive Industry as the data transfer
protocol. Established CAN communication between two MC68HCS12 Dragon12-
Plus demo boards which also involves interfacing of LCD, ADC, and
Keypad. The digital output from ADC of one board is displayed on LCD
of second board, keypad output of second board is displayed on LCD of
first board via CAN protocol.
Graduate Assistant, Bradley University
Jan'10-Jan'11
In charge of Electrical Engineering laboratories and provided
instructional and technical support on Oscilloscopes, Signal
generators, Digital multimeters, etc.
Teaching Assistant for undergraduate and graduate students in Assembly
Language programming, Matlab, Simulink.
Graded assignments as part of assistantship program.
Work Experience:
June'08-Dec'08
Six months professional teaching experience in Control Systems, Digital
IC applications in JNTU University, Hyderabad.
ACADEMIC PROJECTS
Control Systems
Designed and simulated a PI controller using Matlab, Simulink for Magnetic
suspension system.
Ensured its proper functionality in simulated test environment.
Embedded Systems
Simulated C code for C8051F411 which displays a MENU on a LCD screen and
gives the option to add a NAME to the main MENU.
Developed an alarm program (C code) and implemented it on SILABS IDE which
requires the UP and DOWN arrows to select alarm time.
Worked on implementing the C code for triggering interrupts using Timers
and generated a PWM square wave of 50% duty cycle at 1000Hz
Radio Frequency Circuits
Designed a Low Noise Amplifier circuit using tools like CAMAD, MATCH,
MSTRIP and simulated the LNA circuit in the frequency range of 1-3Ghz using
ADS
