Product Manager responsible for all aspects of product

account management. Product set includes several unrelated and
technically diverse products. The products currently being managed
include different product life-cycle phases such as an End-of-Life
product, a mature product, and a new product development and
market introduction. Products currently under management generate
over 60M$/year. Duties also involve the management of off-shore
development (India) and management of remote team resources.
Solution Architect (Technical Marketing Mgr) - LANDesk/Avocent,
August 2008 - Jan 2009
Server segment product evangelist and subject matter expert on
server management, Linux/Unix solutions and asset management.
Responsibilities included: specifying market requirements for
current and future products by conducting market research
supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers,
driving a feature solution set across the business line team -
including development, marketing (external), through market
requirements, product development, and positioning; assisting in
the development of a go-to-market plan and personally performing
the technical marketing portion of the plan (white papers,

Responsibilities include managing the entire product line life-
cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities, product and
market requirements gathering (customer, non-customer, analysts),
competitive analysis, hand-off to development, and agile product
development management. Cross-divisional lead in the "business" of
selling LANDesk products within Avocent's Management Systems
division (MSD). This includes technical training, sales training,
channel training, operational process creation/adaptation, and
marketing events for product promotion/lead generation.

role above. Additional duties included: Architected and deployed a
remote server demonstration lab using VMWare ESX for field system
engineer usage; Lead SE responsible to help train/mentor a
separate division (both sales and system engineers) within Avocent
on the LANDesk server product portfolio (Avocent purchased LANDesk
in August 2006).

2003 - April 2006
Responsibilities include those mentioned in "Solution Architect"
role above. Additional duties included: Advisor to Product
Management on server segment trends (server consolidations,
power/green initiatives, high availability computing, security,
systems management) and pre-sales lead for Altiris Unix/Linux
solutions (supporting AIX, Solaris, HP-UX, and Linux variants).
Post sales support included Altiris product training and
Professional Services engagements. Customers varied from SMB
(Small to Medium Business) to large enterprises
Director, System Engineers - Altiris, October 2001 - April 2003
Responsible for directing the sales and technical efforts of
Corporate System Engineers, Strategic Alliance Engineers
(dedicated to specific strategic partners), and Western U.S. Field
System Engineers. Duties included hiring, training, mentoring and
assisting Field SEs in pre-sales technical roles. Successful quota
attainment during the entire length of time in this position.

Responsible for Non-IT engineering group. Included all aspects of

strategic vendor alliances and the creation of a new business unit

integration of all Non-IT device management and monitoring
solutions into CA's Unicenter TNG.
Provided Storage Area Network (SAN) architecture, design,
configuration, and remote management to meet customer storage
requirements. Included storage array configuration, network
design, and system connectivity of high availability MTI RAID
products to various operating and file systems (AIX, Solaris, HP-
UX, Linux, NT, NDS, Veritas). Duties included software
configuration and hardware maintenance. Product designs include
fiber channel components as well as NAS, NFS and CIFS storage
solutions.

(Sun Solaris 6-7 for Intel, IBM AIX 4.X, NCR MP-RAZ). Design,
