Director of Technical Services reporting to the CIO / Senior Vice President
of Information Services, responsible for all of DHMC clinical and business
computer infrastructure. Responsible for DHMC Data Center, and all
computer systems associated with core business functions. Groups reporting
to this position are Technical Services, Systems Administrators Group,
Database Administrators, Client Technical Support, Network Engineers,
Computer Operations, and PC Tech Support. DHMC is New Hampshire's
largest healthcare provider with a staff of over 7000 employees.
DHMC Accomplishments
. High availability computer environments for all clinical and critical
business systems (EMR, LAB, OR, Patient Registration, Pharmacy and
People financial systems)
. Network core infrastructure bandwidth enhancement from 1Gb to 10 Gb
. Centralize Controlled WAN infrastructure for 16 clinical sites throughout

. Installation of Aeroscout 802.11 RFID system for Smart pumps, beds,

development systems for the Amherst Product Group Division of McKesson.
Duties include client technical support for all McKesson APG software
products. Responsible for APG Technical groups which includes Systems
Administrators, Database Administrators, Client Technical Support, Network
Engineers, and PC Tech Support. McKesson APG Group provides decision
support software for healthcare institutions. McKesson's healthcare client
install base consists of approximately 600 hospitals and healthcare systems
across the country.

. Migrated decision support software application from a Sybase database
system to an Oracle database system.

testing procedures and policies. Technical liaison for BYTE magazine with
all major hardware vendors; implementing benchmark testing procedures;
managing budget for testing lab; technical speaker on behalf of BYTE
