CAREER SUMMARY (Managed Cloud Services Solution Architect)

Over 10 years of information technology experience with IBM and

Siemens providing hosting solutions to Fortune 500 customers

around the world. Experience includes qualification of deals,

analysis of requirements, solution design, solution presentation

and transition to the delivery organization for final solution

deployment including services and platform. Strengths include

virtualization design (server, storage and networking),

strategic planning (Business Growth IT Guidelines) and service

designs utilizing ITIL best practices. Led numerous managed

services projects using the ITIL compliant World Wide Project

. Leveraged labor arbitrage (WaMu- Siemens Information Services 8/2007

- 8/2009) - 85 Million Revenue

. In response to a request for proposal from a prospective client.

. Led the technical teams in creating a managed services solution

including hardware, software and ITIL processes along with

associated costs.

. To cut costs, Support Services (Systems/Network Administrators,

Helpdesk etc.) were moved offshore (approximately 80% off shore

20% onshore).

. Worked with client and delivery teams to transition services to

the Global Delivery Team.

. Reviewed contractual deliverables with the domestic and the

offshore delivery team.

. Leveraged virtualization to cut costs and improve responsiveness

(AMO- IBM Global Services 1989-2007) - 30 Million Revenue

. Interviewed the customer (from technicians to executives) to

gather requirements on their services from an existing

outsourcing company.

. Determined the existing company could not support new projects

in a timely and cost effective manner.

. Using a consulting methodology to determine the best service

approach, determined that VMware would provide better service at

lower cost.

. Sized all applications to run on VMware using PlateSpin Recon

reports.

. Proposed changes to their open systems environment which

improved their services at a lower cost by using server and

storage virtualization (blade centers integrated with SAN) along

with improved system management via ITIL.

. Major contributor to on demand deal (LAM Research- IBM Global

Services - 1989-2007) - 50 Million Revenue

. This deal was structured so the customer paid for their usage,

not for servers or storage infrastructure.

. Acted as a lead solution architect on a deal to provide Hosted

Managed Services for virtualization of servers, storage and

networking.

. Tivoli Universal Management Infrastructure was used to allocate

and release resources as needed. UMI supported IBM open systems

and mainframe (AIX, DB2, Oracle, and MVS) environments.

. Improved competitiveness via tighter role integration (Welch Allyn

and HandHeld- IBM Global Services - 1989-2007) - 40 Million Revenue

. Consolidated the roles of database administrator, operating

system administrator, performance analyst and network analyst

into generalists who could perform routine tasks with no

assistance from specialists.

. Reduced costs by 40%.
