SYNOPSIS OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Over twenty years (20) work experience in design and construction of various oil and gas offshore
platforms in which 17-years were dedicated in engineering and construction of jackets and topside.
The majority of my works involves mainly in FEED/conceptual design, detailed engineering,
fabrication and installation engineering of jackets and topside including, living quarters, flares and
bridges. Had hands-on experience in structural configuration of jacket and topside; structural
analyses such as In-place, fatigue, earthquake, lift, ship impact, post damage and various detailed
design calculations e.g. pile design, cathodic protection, vortex shedding, padeyes design, etc. I
am very familiar with API-RP-2A both in WSD and LRFD (Load Resistance Factor Design) method.
Well versed in industry codes like API, AISC, DNV, BS, ASTM code of practice and standards. I
used SACS (Structural Analysis Computer System) suites of programs for various structural
analyses applications.
I had lead and control of structural engineering delivering successful turnkey projects. I have a
strong background of fabrication and installation engineering of jackets, float-over decks, modular
assemblies, flare towers and bridges. I had carried-out various pre-service analyses like load-out,
transportation and seafastening design, lifting, jacket launch, jacket floatation and upending, on-
bottom stability, and pile driving analysis. I am capable to prepare jacket and deck installations
studies for various barges. Had also hands-on experience in deck mating analysis (float-over deck
installation) and could develop cargo barge layout and sea-fastening drawings. I had witnessed
several jacket and topsides installations where I provided technical support and engineering
assistance on board the vessel.
I had also exposures in Project Management Team (PMT) being the Client, who owns
responsibility of the structural design at the Operators’ perspective. I always ensure that the scope
of works is completed in accordance with the design standards and project specifications. My task
also includes coordination and interfaces with other disciplines in the project team. I had reviewed
and approved design drawings, design reports and calculation notes. Conduct meetings and site
visits.
