GEMS connect to external ASSET systems for getting circuit
information. GEMS connect to the external systems through GEMS User
Process, which is developed using C++, and Orbix-MT (3.0.1). The
communication between GEMS GUI, AR System, and the GEMS User Process
is developed using OLE/COM. GEMS also contain C++ external servers
that communicate with the User Process. GEMS also Contains Common
services, which contain C++ class libraries, common CORBA IDL, common
middleware services, and common server templates, which are used by
all C++ processes.
