Journeyman Electrician/Technician

Position Purpose:

Installation, programming, maintaining and troubleshooting of electrical,

basic RF, motor control and related mechanical/hydraulic systems within

industrial and shipboard environments.

Principle Accountabilities:

I respond timely to break downs. I complete work using NEC, good

manufacturing process's and quality standards. I work closely with and

support all departments. I track work and time through documentation/log

books, procure parts, perform predictive maintenance, and track building

history. Work is done safely and in a timely manner with proper tools

needed while maintaining a clean work area.

Primary Job Skills:

. 25+ years in the E-I field consisting of formal training plus experience

. Perform related duties assigned by management

. Perform material procurement duties using Computerized Maintenance

Management

Systems (CMMS)

. Have good understanding of the NEC and other reference materials and

charts

. Able to read and understand Technical Manuals

. Follow drawings, sketches, wiring diagrams, and schematics

. Basic knowledge of PC's, printers and their associated software (Windows,

Word, Excel, etc

. Familiar with and have the ability to carry and use hand and power tools

. Able to use volt/ammeters, meggers, o-scopes, signal generators, etc,,,

. Install remote radio control systems and controlled components

. Have math skills as needed for measuring and calculating electrical

formulas

. Complete all Documentation as required daily

. Able to identify electrical components and follow wiring diagrams

. Plan, layout and perform a wide range of installation, repair, and

maintenance operations on a full range of electrical control stations,

electrical equipment and circuitry

. Install, maintain and repair complex automatic controls, logic control,

PLC's and VFD's

. Install, maintain and repair motors and power distribution systems,

including transformers, motor starters, motor control centers, generating

equipment, switchgear etc

. Perform soldering as required for installations or repairs

. Perform troubleshooting of PLC's and using PLC's for troubleshooting of

electrical systems, (Basic RSLogix, Direct Logic, MPLAB, PIC, and Stamp)

. Program and troubleshoot VFD's, (Fincor, Drivecon, Dynahoist, Dynac,

Microspeed MV, and Magnetek)

. Complete all job assignments within reasonable time lines and workman

like manor.

. Familiar with and capable of, operating and working in a Bucket Truck and

/ or man-lift

. Leave job/work area neat, clean, orderly, and secure each day
