. Over 20 years experience as Clinical Director of a psychology

department, and as Director of Training of an APPIC psychology

doctoral internship program. Designed a successful Association of

Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers (APPIC) doctoral

psychology internship program and designed a structured curriculum,

training manuals, clinical protocols, and computerized behavior

. Direct the Clinical Services Department.

Plan, develop, direct, and administer clinical psychology programs.

Director responsibilities include the following domains: (1)

Direction and ongoing development of an APPIC member psychology

internship, as well as of the advanced post-doctoral training; (2)

Aggressive marketing to generate Admissions, including the development

and maintenance of relationships with referring gatekeepers and

agencies, and development of appropriate informational and recruitment

materials for gatekeepers, parents, and guardians; (3) Supervision and

evaluation of Clinical Psychology services including psychotherapy,

psychological testing, educational testing, neuropsychological

testing, multidisciplinary consultation, functional behavior

assessments, functional analysis assessments, and positive behavior

interventions; (4) Effective administration of department staff to

prepare reports and assessments, as well as in the usage of multiple

electronic records systems, (5) Administration and ongoing

Supervision of Clinical Services department, including developing

procedures for compliance with contractual timelines, electronic

records and billing systems, developing and maintaining a written

manual documenting clinical and administrative procedures, and legal

requirements relating to Clinical Psychology services. Ensure agency

compliance with procedures and policies for clients served by the

Department of Mental Health (DMH. Responsibilities are performed

personally and through subordinate supervisors. Ability to write

reports, speeches, and articles. Ability to make effective and

persuasive speeches and presentations on complex topics to top

management, public groups, or board of directors.

. Supervise and train clinical staff to provide psychotherapies,

psychological testing and neuropsychological testing, as well as

comprehensive functional behavior assessment and the development of

behavior intervention plans. Designed system for ongoing data

collection to support both behavior assessment and individual program

evaluation.

Directly supervise the Psychology Training Coordinator,

Speech/Language Therapist, and Psychology Interns. Responsible for

the overall direction, management, and evaluation of these staff

members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with

the Center's policies and applicable laws and regulations.

Specifically responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with

regulations of the California Board of Psychology, APA ethical code,

and APPIC. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and

training clinical staff, and for the planning, assigning, and

directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining

employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Design and

implement a clinical psychology training program that maintains

national APPIC membership. Train and supervise pre-doctoral interns

and postdoctoral psychologists through a listed APPIC internship

program.

. Develop, supervise, and train interns and licensed clinical staff, to

implement an ecological approach addressing psychological,

educational, systems, and health issues including integrated clinical

and information technology tools for Functional Behavior Assessment

and Positive Behavioral Interventions.

Educate and supervise staff in the use of cognitive behavioral

therapy, social learning approaches, psychoeducational techniques,

client centered and relationship therapy, and as well as training

psychology staff to understand issues within the context of systems

and ecological issues.

. Develop and implement clinical procedures for assessment, crisis

intervention, responding to emergent emotional and behavioral issues.

Ensure that Clinical Emergency procedures are trained and followed, in

accordance with laws and regulations, including procedures for crisis

intervention, a structured and literature based protocol for Suicide

Assessment, Assessment of danger to others, and formal Emergency Plans
