. Implemented a "Computer Brain" custom CMMS system to the
facility, which helped us improve the actual uptime from 73%
to 91%
. Implemented "total" parts and tool inventory/ control for a
$10,000,000+ maintenance parts warehouse and for 20,000ea
production tools.
. Increased production capacity from 6 to 8 lines, than 9 to 11
lines and currently working on 12 to 15 lines.
. Improved security at the facility by bullet proofing all
entrances, exterior walls offices and automated personnel
entrees.

. Five direct reports including maintenance superintendent,
electrical controls engineering manager, machine shop
manager, fabrication shop manager, environmental mtc manager,
twelve indirect reports, and 100 hourly millwrights,
electricians, fabricators, machinists, and electronic
technicians.
. Implemented laser alignment, oil analysis, vibration
analysis, and root cause analysis; which works in conjunction
with an existing mapcom system.
. Reorganized maintenance organization, which reflected in
increased efficiency and uptime from 72% to 91%.
. Managed two scheduled plant shutdowns and three scheduled
mini shutdowns with perfect startups.
. Currently modifying the finishing department and installing
automated casting handling and grinding equipment.
. In process of planning the installation of a BMM/Vulcan
automatic cope/drag mold line and an eighty ton holding
furnace.

. Modified Cupola Charging System in both plants, including
metallics and non-metallics.
. Overhauled Akre Pipe Manufacture Machines from the foundation

. Redesigned and modified 28 ea Tyler-made automatic core

. Redesigned and modified existing Impact Molding Sand System,
including the installation of Didion MD-400 and BD-400 drums.
This also included Carrier Shaker Conveyors and Pekay Sand
Conditioners.

. Three direct reporting Maintenance Supervisors and 15
indirect reporting Maintenance Technicians / Electricians.
. Designed, built and installed a 4,000 CFM compressed air
facility.
. Redesigned and replaced the primary and secondary power
distribution.
. Worked with Texas Utilities on designing and installing a
Peak-Shaving Controller. This included diesel generators and
controlled large power consumers.
. Designed, built, and installed a new 3500 kw Inductotherm
Dual Trac Furnace with two 4 metric ton steel shell furnaces.
This included the charging system, gas fired preheated,
cooling tower, back up generator, vacuum breaker,
transformers, cranes building, etc.
. Installed a new Hunter Hmp 20H flask less molding machine.
. Installed a new Robert Sinto SCC-90 core blower machine,
including a complete sand system and scrubber.
. Redesigned the existing Return Sand System and installed a
new Didion Media Drum with oscillating Sorting Conveyor.
. Rearranged the Coreroom, and Air Set Lines, to improve
production flow.

. Start up the Darbyshire foundry in Canutillo, after it was
out of operation for 7 years.
. Moved entire green sand foundry from the El Paso plant to the
Canutillo plant. Reinstalled and expanded from 6 molding
stations to 15 molding stations.
. Moved 250 kw Inductotherm Mark 2 Furnace with a 2,000# Box
furnace and Crucible Lift / Swing Furnace from the El Paso
plant to the Canutillo plant.
. Completely overhauled the Inductotherm Mark 2 power supply,
and modified it into a Mark 4.
. Redesigned and modified numerous electrical controls.
