WORK EXPERIENCE
RF Engineer, 3 S Network Inc.
March 2010- Current
. Analyzing and identifying factors that impact wireless network
performance for new or existing network.
. Recommending and implementing optimization solutions to ensure that the
carrier's network continues performing at its peak.
. Analyzing drive test data using Actix Spotlight & Analyzer
. Use Actix Analyzer to verify coverage, interference, handover success
rates, accessibility, retainability and key performance metrics.
. Use Actix Analyzer to indentify swapped sectors, low Tx power, sites not
transmitting, site alarms, missing neighbors, and Pilot pollution.
. Analyzing SSVs & Cluster data for Drop Calls, Origination, low
throughput, Interference, Handover failures, IRAT Handovers, Error in
Connection, Channel reselections, Rx Quality, Rx level etc.
. Discussing the reasons for these problems with RF lead & take further
actions to resolve the problems.
. Analyzing signaling flow and layer 3 messages to investigate the cause of
the dropped calls and access failures.
. Recommending antenna down tilt to have dominant pilot & up tilt to
increase coverage in the region.
. Monitoring derived customer perceived Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
such as RX Level, RX Quality, Dropped Calls, Blocked Calls, Hand-Over
Failures, Pilot Pollution and Missing Neighbors.
. Constantly keeping in contact with RF engineers to stay updated about the
status of the optimization process.
. Recommending changes in Missing Neighbors, Neighbor parameters, power and
antenna tilts until the cluster meets the required KPIs.
. Preparing drive routes using MapInfo and Microsoft Street and Trips.
RF Drive Test Engineer, 3 S Network Inc.
June 2010- February 2011
. Performed RF drive tests for New Site Integration, Carrier Additions, &
RF tuning for AT&T in different markets in the US
. Performed RF field measurement using Radio network planning and
optimization tools, Agilent E6474A & TEMS
. Checked signal level in terms of RSCP, RSSI and Ec/No of particular site
for different sectors.
. Compiled Site Audit report and ensured proper logging of RF data for
analysis and onward submission to the clients.
. Collaborated with RF Engineers in the implementation and optimization of
wireless networks.
. Kept documented record of dropped calls, blocked calls, call end, mobile
disconnection and missing neighbor.
. Discussed the reasons for these problems with RF engineers and trouble
shoot on the spot and conduct further test.
. Troubleshooting testing tools: Agilent 12.0, TEMS
9.1/10.1.1/10.1.2/11.0.2
. Performed SSV, Cluster Drive, IFHO & IRAT
