PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
AutoCad Drafter / Structural Engineering Drafter ( Next Step Design - Lake
Forest, CA
Utilized engineers' marks, architectural designs and as-built
drawings to layout structural engineering drawings for cell phone
sites, cell antenna poles, radio towers, residences, school
remodels, hospitals, prefabricated horse barns, power plants and gas
reclamation plants. Directed multiple large in-house projects, such
as scanning 1000 hardcopy drawings into PDF format, and
standardizing 1000 details in the company's library into updated
formats. (2006 to 2011)
Power Plant Project - Created drawings for a client that was
moving its facilities from Texas to Chile, and from Indiana to
Guatemala. Generated structural layouts of foundations and
footings, including pipe connections, steel connections, pipe
supports and equipment mounts. Created drawings for zoning and
design approval that achieved a 95% approval rate.
Disneyland Projects - Drafted layout structural engineering
drawings for cell phone sites, the Tom Sawyer's Island Dock
Project, and Tinkerbell's Pixie Hollow Project.
Mechanical Drafter & Cadd Drafter ( Boeing Aircraft Company - Long Beach,
CA
Created ink-on-Mylar dimensioned and un-dimensioned drawings of
wings, fuselage, electrical systems, hydraulic systems and
fuel/environmental systems that incorporated 980 Type-2 Engineering
orders. Utilized CADD software program and Unigraphics V18 to
generate 2-D images and drawings from engineering orders, and to
model 3-D solids. Collaborated with liaison engineers from the
Environmental Propulsion Group on change orders and requests.
Drafted new parts and assemblies for C-17 Cargo Planes. ( 1997 to
2005)
UPS Cargo Door Conversion Project - Designed parts to replace
passenger doors with commercial doors.
Wing Box Improvement Project and Extended Range Project - Drafted
parts for the Wing Group, wrote engineering orders and updated
drawings.
Led the Electrical Book Drawing Incorporation Team - Updated the
electrical book harness, instructions and forms. Trained team
members to work on book drawings. Supervised and inspected their
work.
Awards & Recognitions - Boeing Employee of the Month.
Appreciation Award for the Cargo Door Project. Recognition
awards for Exceptional Performance, Drawing Conversion, and
Project Assistance.
