Project : Xerox Report Model (XRM)
Xerox Report Model is the metadata layer component that serves as the
basis for building reports. Report designers, both end users and IT
staff, will use the report model as the data source for the report
instead of directly accessing a relational database or OLAP cube data
source when designing reports.
The report model contains three key elements necessary for the ad hoc
reporting process to function smoothly: bindings to the underlying
data-source schema, a logical representation of the schema in the form
of business entities that are familiar to end users, and the default
information to be used according to the role that the entity plays in
the report.
Responsibilities:
Designing and developing the model based on the dsv.
Designing and developing the data source view (DSV) for the
report model
Create stored procedures and views that contain the calculated
workarounds.
Developed reports using SSRS 2008
Implemented the new features involved in SSRS 2008
Developed reports using Report Builder.
Design and development of model controller for the in-house
reporting tool in java
Bug fixing and enhancements for the in-house reporting tool.
Understanding the requirements and functionality to build the
report model
Unit testing of the same.

Project: ETL processes can involve considerable complexity,
and significant operational problems can occur with improperly designed
ETL systems.
The range of data values or data quality in an operational system may
exceed the expectations of designers at the time validation and
transformation rules are specified. Data profiling of a source during
data analysis can identify the data conditions that will need to be
managed by transform rules specifications. This will lead to an
amendment of validation rules explicitly and implicitly implemented in
the ETL process.Data warehouses are typically assembled from a variety
of data sources with different formats and purposes. As such, ETL is a
key process to bring all the data together in a standard, homogenous
environment.Design analysts should establish the scalability of an ETL
system across the lifetime of its usage. This includes understanding
the volumes of data that will have to be processed within service level
agreements. The time available to extract from source systems may
change, which may mean the same amount of data may have to be processed
in less time. Some ETL systems have to scale to process terabytes of
data to update data warehouses with tens of terabytes of data.
Increasing volumes of data may require designs that can scale from
daily batch to multiple-day microbatch to integration with message
queues or real-time change-data capture for continuous transformation
and update.
Responsibilities:
Design, Development, Deployment and Production Support.
. Migrate historical data, which is one time and built migration
process for on going data loads using Informatica power center
designer.
. Interfaces are built and automated with Informatica ETL tool, PL/SQL
and shell scripting.
. The objective is to automate job, which runs every day by maintaining
the data integrity, data correctness and record count.
. Created Temp Table Structure layout for the flat file based on pipe
delimited.
. Identify the EIM tables and its Base table for the process.
. All the jobs are integrated using complex Mappings including Mapplets
and Workflows using Informatica power center designer and workflow
manager.
. Performance tuning has been done to increase the through put.
. Production Support has been done for on going issues and trouble
shoot the issues to identified the bugs
. Experienced in ETL Administration responsibilities for the Enterprise
Data Group using the Informatica tool
. Performed Informatica code migrations, test, debug, document and
maintain programs and monitor according to standards
. Experienced in informatica and administration functions such as user
access accounts, roles, setting standards, etc.
Created PPS reports using MDX
. Create detailed project outlines and application design
specifications.
. Worked with production data and ensure enterprise data quality using
First Logic tool set.
. Interaction with Offshore Team everyday for on going work, based on
the Tickets/issues and to follow up with them for its progress.

Project : Ontario Reports Service
Ontario Reporting Service makes use of the SSRS to create reports. It is
a server-based reporting platform that provides comprehensive reporting
functionality for a variety of data sources. Reporting Services includes
a complete set of tools for you to create, manage, and deliver reports,
and APIs that enable developers to integrate or extend data and report
processing in custom applications. Reporting Services tools work within
the Microsoft Visual Studio environment and are fully integrated with
SQL Server tools and components.
With Reporting Services, you can create interactive, tabular, graphical,
or free-form reports from relational, multidimensional, or XML-based
data sources. You can publish reports, schedule report processing, or
access reports on-demand. Reporting Services also enables you to create
ad hoc reports based on predefined models, and to interactively explore
data within the model. You can select from a variety of viewing formats,
export reports to other applications, and subscribe to published
reports. The reports that you create can be viewed over a Web-based
connection or as part of a Microsoft Windows application or SharePoint
site. Reporting Services provides the key to your business data.
Responsibilities:
Did the requirement gathering from management and engineers from
various divisions.
Developed test cases, helped in designing the code, creating the
deployment project and functional specifications.
Developed new features with analysis, documentation, coding and
testing in Oracle PL/SQL.
Reviewed the PL/SQL code written by other members to assure that it
was modular, object-oriented and efficient and followed programming
standards.
Migrated already existing data from 9i to 10G DB server.
Interacted with multiple development groups and cross-functional
departments during the course of the project.
Performed all phrases of end-to-end testing which includes Accepting
testing, Functionality testing and Regression testing of the
application.

Project : Migration from Crystal reports to SSRS
Crystal Reports is a business intelligence application used to design
and generate reports from a wide range of data sources. Several other
applications, such as Microsoft Visual Studio, bundle an OEM version of
Crystal Reports as a general purpose reporting tool. Crystal Reports
became the de facto standard report writer when Microsoft released it
with Visual Studio.
Crystal Reports is used to design a report that enables users to drill
down on a chart and filter information, in accordance with their needs.
That report has been included in an ASP.NET project, and then displayed
in a Web Form with a Crystal Report Viewer control that is bound to that
report. The report can be interacted with by use of the Report Document
object model.
Responsibilities:
Creating queries based on the requirement understanding.
Implementing the new features supported by Crystal Reports.
Reviewed the PL/SQL code written by other members to assure
that it was modular, object- oriented and efficient and followed
programming standards.
Design and development of model controller for the in-house
reporting tool in Java
Bug fixing and enhancements for the in-house reporting tool.
Interacted with multiple development groups and
cross-functional departments during the course of the project.
Performed all phrases of end-to-end testing which includes

Project : SSRS Report Development
SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is a server-based report
generation software system from Microsoft. It can be used to prepare
and deliver a variety of interactive and printed reports. It is
administered via a web interface. Reporting services features a web
services interface to support the development of custom reporting
applications.
In SSRS, reports are defined in Report Definition Language (RDL), an
XML markup language. Reports can be designed using recent versions of
Microsoft Visual Studio, with the included Business Intelligence
Projects plug-in installed or with the included Report Builder, a
simplified tool that does not offer all the functionality of Visual
Studio. Reports defined by RDL can be generated in a variety of
formatsincluding Excel, PDF, CSV, XML, TIFF (and other image formats),
and HTML Web Archive
Responsibilities:
Did the requirement gathering from management and engineers
from various divisions.
Developed test cases, helped in designing the code, creating
the deployment project and functional specifications.
Creating queries based on the requirement understanding.
Implementing the new features supported by SSRS 05.
Developed custom code in Java for customized localization of
the report.
Deployed the reports developed onto Sharepoint.
Interacted with multiple development groups and
cross-functional departments during the course of the project.
