Project : Xerox Report Model (XRM)

Xerox Report Model is the metadata layer component that serves as the

basis for building reports. Report designers, both end users and IT

staff, will use the report model as the data source for the report

instead of directly accessing a relational database or OLAP cube data

source when designing reports.

The report model contains three key elements necessary for the ad hoc

reporting process to function smoothly: bindings to the underlying

data-source schema, a logical representation of the schema in the form

of business entities that are familiar to end users, and the default

information to be used according to the role that the entity plays in

the report.

Responsibilities:

Designing and developing the model based on the dsv.

Designing and developing the data source view (DSV) for the

report model

Create stored procedures and views that contain the calculated

workarounds.

Covad Systems

Dec 2009-Feb 2010

Systems analyst

Project: ETL processes can involve considerable complexity,

and significant operational problems can occur with improperly designed

ETL systems.

The range of data values or data quality in an operational system may

exceed the expectations of designers at the time validation and

transformation rules are specified. Data profiling of a source during

data analysis can identify the data conditions that will need to be

managed by transform rules specifications. This will lead to an

amendment of validation rules explicitly and implicitly implemented in

the ETL process.Data warehouses are typically assembled from a variety

of data sources with different formats and purposes. As such, ETL is a

key process to bring all the data together in a standard, homogenous

environment.Design analysts should establish the scalability of an ETL

system across the lifetime of its usage. This includes understanding

the volumes of data that will have to be processed within service level

agreements. The time available to extract from source systems may

change, which may mean the same amount of data may have to be processed

in less time. Some ETL systems have to scale to process terabytes of

data to update data warehouses with tens of terabytes of data.

Increasing volumes of data may require designs that can scale from

daily batch to multiple-day microbatch to integration with message

queues or real-time change-data capture for continuous transformation

and update.

Responsibilities:

Design, Development, Deployment and Production Support.

. Migrate historical data, which is one time and built migration

process for on going data loads using Informatica power center

designer.

. Interfaces are built and automated with Informatica ETL tool, PL/SQL

and shell scripting.

. The objective is to automate job, which runs every day by maintaining

the data integrity, data correctness and record count.

. Created Temp Table Structure layout for the flat file based on pipe

delimited.

. Identify the EIM tables and its Base table for the process.

. All the jobs are integrated using complex Mappings including Mapplets

and Workflows using Informatica power center designer and workflow

manager.

. Performance tuning has been done to increase the through put.

. Production Support has been done for on going issues and trouble

shoot the issues to identified the bugs

. Experienced in ETL Administration responsibilities for the Enterprise

Data Group using the Informatica tool

. Performed Informatica code migrations, test, debug, document and

maintain programs and monitor according to standards

. Experienced in informatica and administration functions such as user

access accounts, roles, setting standards, etc.

Created PPS reports using MDX

. Create detailed project outlines and application design

specifications.

. Worked with production data and ensure enterprise data quality using

First Logic tool set.

. Interaction with Offshore Team everyday for on going work, based on

the Tickets/issues and to follow up with them for its progress.
