A forward-thinking communications and investor relations professional with
a broad industry background, I combine the research and analysis discipline
of a securities analyst with the creative messaging skills of a high-impact
communicator. I make the story clear, credible. and compelling.
I am a thought leader who understands the perspectives of both money
managers and investors. I follow rigorous Best Practices, and I am
experienced with governance issues. I can have an immediate impact by:
o Ensuring that investment consultants are kept up to date on
information about company's products
o Providing active outreach to prospective clients with marketing
literature and scheduling meetings
o Assisting with schedules, materials and targeting prospects for road
shows and conferences
o Drafting follow-up reports for meetings and calls and organizing and
executing next steps.
Outgoing, dedicated and team-oriented, I am a problem-solver who always
goes the extra mile for my constituents. I received an MBA in Finance with
Honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, an MS in
Applied Physics from the Illinois Institute of Technology, and a BA in
Physics from Trinity University.
Selected Accomplishments
Generated increased investment interest in IDT. The largest business unit
was not known by most money managers and presence of smaller units clouded
the investment story. Spent extended periods with individual money
managers and arranged for portfolio managers to meet management. Increased
number of sizable stakes.
Created company voice and vision with first annual report. IDT lacked
reader-friendly investment communications. Proposed/drafted first glossy
annual report, highlighting developments in major lines of business and
providing comments on distinctive spirit of employees. Achieved residual
downstream Sales, HR, and PR use.
Working with high net worth entrepreneurs, closed purchase of a retail
chain. Conducted search for business to be purchased by high net worth
executives, spearheaded the due diligence, drafted a financing package
relying on equity and leveraged debt, and ultimately closed the deal.
Helped build cost-justified web presence. As a high-tech telecom, IDT
needed an investor relations (IR) section on its website. Created IR
content and style on a standardized platform I selected. Set download
records for our hosting vendor after one major development. Saved enough
on press releases to pay fees for the site.
Drafted comprehensive reports on complex investment companies that let my
"idea house" broker sell shares: Reports focused on companies which were
liquid but under-owned and -analyzed in the US. They featured
comprehensive sensitivity analyses and concise business model descriptions.
Examples: TMO and BHP
