Responsibilities include management of advertising budget, preparation of
classified ads, tracking responses to ads, and the interviewing/selection
of all individuals to serve as independent distributors for the Company.
Interact with stores, managers, customers and carriers to ensure the
resolution of delivery issues/complaints to the clients' satisfaction.
Duties include the daily monitoring, reporting and recordkeeping of the
electronic update for the seven individual media publications delivered by
carriers. Research and resolve carrier-route discrepancies and
disseminate accurate information to site managers to enhance cost-

Human Resource s Manager with the sole responsibility to staff and service
the Operations, Distribution, Pressroom, and Customer Service departments
of the newspaper as well as Rhode Island Monthly Magazine, Inc. This
includes managers and supervisory personnel, exempt-professionals,
technicians, administrative employees, and hourly nonunion and union-
represented employees for a three-shift organization. Professionally
prepare internal job posting announcements and author classified ads,
screen applicants for consideration, assess relevant experience, select
and interview candidates, conduct background checks, recommend
candidates for hire, and complete on-boarding procedures.
Responsibilities include the investigation of allegations of employee
misconduct and compliance with rules and regulations. Administered the
procurement of temporary workers, review their ability to perform assigned
work and monitor the performance of all temporary employees.
Administration of both the short-term and long-term disability programs,
Worker's Compensation program and medical recordkeeping. Assume
integral contributions during benefit open enrollment process. Sit as

Employee Relations Administrator - Promoted from Senior Employee Relations
Representative responsibilities included the management of all aspects of
the function and the supervision of six professional Representatives and
one administrative employee. Assignments included writing an Employee
Handbook, overseeing disciplinary action, the organization and providing
results of the employee complaint procedure, active member of the
Malpractice Committee, resolved employee problems and was directly involved
in five union avoidance campaigns.
Senior Employee Relations Representative - Promoted to represent a for
workforce of 2,000+ non-union employees on all three shifts
responsibilities included reviewing and resolving employee complaints,
initiate investigations of employee misconduct, present evidence of
employee malpractice, refer employees for Employee Assistance Programs, and
responding to all employee inquiries.
Employee Relations Representative - Represented a workforce of 1000+ non-
union employees on all three shifts duties included responding to employee
complaints, conducting investigations of any allegations of employee
misconduct, reviewing attendance records and responding to all employee
inquiries.
EEO Coordinator - Responsible for preparing Affirmation Action Plans
including goals for increasing diversity, represented the Company during on-
site audits by the federal government, investigated allegations of
discrimination, and represented the Company before the OFCCP, EEOC, and
R.I. Human Rights Commission. During my tenure, the Company won 42 cases,
lost none and settled one complaint. Conducted supervisory training
programs on program compliance.
Employment Representative - Duties included screening, interviewing and
hiring candidates to fill open positions as they became available.
Coordinated the State-sponsored training programs/curriculum and selected
candidates approved for skills training.
EDUCATION
Bryant College - 1974 - A.S. in Legal Secretarial Sciences. 12 credits
to complete BSBA Degree.
