Area of research: Hydrogen Fuel Cell Technology for Automotive Application.

Worked on the following projects:

. Project 1: analyzing Platinum growth phenomena and performance

degradation in fuel cell membrane. Designed and conducted 3000 hours

experiment with following microscopy investigation of Platinum

nanoparticles growth from 2 nm up to 14 nm in size.

. Project 2: creation of a hybrid PEM (Proton Exchange Membrane) fuel cell

vehicle with increased efficiency from 29 MPG to 75 MPG. Hybrid car

utilizes three sources of power: internal combustion, electric

motor/generator, and PEM fuel cells.

. Project 3: building a zero emission scooter demonstrator using proton

exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFC) fueled by hydrogen, suitable for

use in heavily populated metropolitan areas.

Responsibilities

. Designed durability, performance tests and experimental setup taking

into account cost, availability of materials and maintenance

requirements.

. Designed, installed and tested the conceptual vehicles that were using

three sources of power, such as electrical, internal combustion and fuel

cell.

. Carried out electron microscopy experiments using SEM (scanning electron

microscope), TEM (transmission electron microscopy), XRD (X-Ray

diffraction).

. Taught "Vibration" and "Computer Aided Design" classes.
