webMethods 7.1.3 was ending its extended support hence it was decided to move to an upgraded version of webMethods, hence project to upgrade the Sapient

Integration platform was prioritized to webMethods 8.2 Product suite.

Responsibilities

Being the SME of the Sapient Integration layer I was given the opportunity to present a case to the leadership the need for upgrading the webMethods platform.

I along with the team did a couple to team members chose to over install after multiple round of proof of concepts for over install on multiple test / staging

webMethods environments. Also documented the known webMethods upgrade and raised the same to SAG support in time and got resolutions and patches

applied where ever needed. We successfully upgraded the Integration layer from 7.1.3 to 8.2.2 without any issues.

Project revolved around creating a framework generic enough to support data interaction between multiple Sapient vendors including travel, Recruiting

(TALEO) by exchanging delta files on a daily basis. The framework is capable enough to identify which records to send for which file feed. The framework

currently support file integrations for more than 6 systems. Without much of an effort and no code changes we can now define master entries in the FHF

database model to setup a new file feed. As of today almost 16 data feed integrations (delta/full) are currently using this as service. This framework helped out

team in reducing the overall delivery time framework / setup of feed integrations.
