Testing of Net App Filers (08/2012) in Mindteck India limited

We are doing the testing on filer to check the filer are good quality.

Basically we are testing the OS which is DataOntap for maintaining quality

software on net app filer.We test the OS as well as the hardware so that

the customer gets a high quality product.We have good understanding how the

filers work.

Testing of NetApp Filers (08/2012) in HCL technologies-on site

Doing a thorough testing on HA (high availability) cluster of filers for

both manual and as well as automated scripts on filers of NetApp for High

Quality product to be achieved.Netapp one of the leading enterprise filers

(NAS boxes).NetApp boxes come with their own OS,memory.We test the OS as

well as the hardware so that the customer gets a high quality product.We

have good understanding how the filers work.

Testing of EMC-Iomega NAS boxes (06/2011) in HCL technologies

Network attached storage is a part of the network easy to store and share

data. It is an appliance just connects it to network and use it. We are

actual mainly dealing with boxes for home, small and medium business

companies. We are testing the device are good to -go without any problem

with strong QA. We have in-depth knowledge of NAS boxes and storage

concepts while performing these activities.

Worked on Linux operating system

Testing of DAS for HP (11/2010) in Mphasis

Basically DAS device are mainly and very easy to use and we are testing

these and software which are required for maintenance of these DAS like

update software's like PSP etc.

Worked on windows flavor operating system

Testing of RAID Controllers (07/2007) in Honeysoft Solutions

One of the business sources for Computer vendors is via AMC, to grow this

business; delivering right quality product will be the key focus area.

Now-a-days RAID is becoming more popular to meet increased data storage

requirement, as result of which, RAID is becoming an important component

inside each computer system. So Honey soft ensures these RAID controller

cards are good to-go by performing an in-house validation before placing

them inside the computer systems. We extensively understand RAID concepts

and other storage concepts while performing these activities.

Responsibilities:

Writing Test Cases and Execution of Test Cases

Understanding Test Plan and create Test Setup accordingly

Perform Load and Stress Testing using IO Meter tool

Thin Client Implementation Using Virtualization in Honeysoft

Solutions:VMware

One of the main problems that a organisation or a company faces is that

when there is increase in the employee count is the investment in the

infrastructure that is the hardware. In replacement to this we can have

server which has large resources to be divided in separate virtual

machines(same as normal desktop pc) minus the hardware, so in

virtualisation we are providing each employee a pc and all the data has

been stored in server so there in an increase in the security. This can be

done using virtualization. A single server and small cheap device called

thin client is all which is needed (monitor,mouse,and keyboard are

connected to thin client and this is connected to server using a LAN) So

the investment cost is considerably reduced. This project is simulated in

our company using small set-up of 2 computer and server.

Academic Projects:

Reduction of string losses in photovoltaic modules using ANOVA

technique

ANOVA technique is a calculation to determine to theoretically

calculate the errors.

We tried to increase the soldering temperature,

Change the composition of soldering material to increase the efficiency

and decrease the losses by adding 2% silver.

Project report: String losses get reduced when mixture of soldering

gets changed.

String losses get reduced when temperature of

soldering gets increased.

String losses are reduced to 3%.

Efficiency of the whole system increased.

Achievements:

1) Got Best Innovator Award for 2011 third quarter in HCL technologies

2) Got great appreciation for debugging an important problem in my

first company
