The executive officer (XO) is in charge of unit administrative and maintenance operations (millions of dollars
in logistical equipment). Currently leading and supervising 256+ soldiers in my company.
-Ensures that his unit is adequately equipped, trained and healthy (mentally and physically), all of which are
necessary to accomplish the missions.
-The XO accomplishes this task by setting objectives on unit readiness and then delegating the execution of
those objectives to staff officers.
-Each staff officer is responsible for an area of operations, such as intelligence, logistics and personnel.
1st Platoon Leader - 2nd Lieutenant at US Army - 950th Maintenance Company

Ordnance officers are responsible for ensuring that weapons systems, vehicles and equipment are ready and
available and in perfect working order at all times. They also manage the developing, testing, fielding,
handling, storage and disposal of munitions.
A platoon leader, is responsible for the well-being of an assigned platoon, which consists of management,
tactician, training, morale, soldier discipline, property accountability, maintenance, soldier readiness, and
soldier development.

An ROTC cadets' mission is to learn and embody leadership values in order to become an Officer in the
United States Army. Through this program, cadets worked with one another in order to accomplish numerous
goals such as Field Training exercises, training labs, leading and mentoring their peers below them, utilizing a
chain of command, creating operation orders, evaluating composite risk management, creating and
implementing time lines, managing my physical fitness, and completing a Leadership and development
assessment course (LDAC) at Fort Lewis in Seattle, Washington.
Appointed as Battalion S1, “The S1 is charged with monitoring the unit's current combat capability and
developing and implementing plans to maintain that capability--or to improve it if it is lacking. It's also the
S1's responsibility to handle personnel replacement and movement, that is, keeping track of who's coming
into the unit and who's going out, including casualties."
"General administration of the unit headquarters (HQ) falls on the S1 as well. The S1 advises the commander
on the best way to allocate resources, money, manpower, equipment and space, to keep the HQ running
smoothly."
