Objective: Full-time Mechanical Engineering and Design position.
Qualifications: Senior Mechanical Engineer and Designer for Enigmatics Inc. where I led the research and
development of Pulse Detonation Engine (PDE) technology for use in various DoD applications and SBIR
programs. My efforts at Enigmatics resulted in the completion and commercialization of technologies from
previous R&D prototypes. Prior to Enigmatics, I gained real-world problem solving and project management
experience from my employment with ACS Inc and Toyota. While at ACS Inc, I worked directly with customers
to design custom automation machines to their specific needs.
Education: Georgia Institute of Technology -Graduated Spring 2006 B.S. Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
• Ballard Power Systems, Product Development Engineer II – College Park, MD (2012-present)
Specialized in data acquisition and control using Labview and the CompactRIO platform.
Worked to further the commercialization of Ballard's Fuel Processors and Fuel Cells by applying
mechanical design for manufacture and assembly principals (DFMA) to existing prototypes.
• Enigmatics Inc, Senior Mechanical Engineer – College Park, MD (2009-2012)
Used SolidWorks CAD software and DFMA principals to create customer-ready products from early
lab prototypes. Specifically high temperature PDE components and subsystems.
Created high-speed acquisition and control solutions in Labview and C/C++.
Led efforts to advance and commercialize proprietary technologies by generating SBIR proposals for
DARPA, NAVAIR, NOAA and other DoD departments.
• ACS Inc, Mechanical Engineer / Applications Engineer – Marietta, GA (2008-2009)
Managed the installation of ACS custom equipment at customer sites.
Created automated machine solutions for industrial processes using Cognex Vision Systems.
Programmed C/C++ and C# based controls and Human Machine Interfaces.
Created end-user manuals and equipment documentation packets for customers.
• Toyota Engineer / Project Manager – Erlanger, KY (2006-2008)
Generated reports and presentations for high level and mid level management with enfaces on the
following areas: Root-cause problem solving, project management and planning.
Designed turnkey electro-pneumatic machinery using Autodesk Inventor CAD software to aid high-
volume production and ergonomics related applications.
Technical Skills:
CAD: SolidWorks (+8 yrs), Autodesk Inventor (+2 yrs), ProEngineer (+2 yrs).
Programming and Controls: National Instruments Labview (+4 yrs), Visual Studio IDE (+8 yrs),
Apple’s Xcode IDE (+5 yrs), Cognex Vision Systems (+2 yrs). Specific languages: C/C++, C#.NET,
SQL, Matlab, and Objective-C.
Industrial electrical panel design and assembly (+7 yrs).
Reporting and Presentation: Photoshop, Excel, Word, Power Point (+11 yrs).
Activities:
• Website Development: Coded my own website ( https://www.hunter-automation.com ) to act as a
storefront for various personal projects and consulting work. The site also integrates an SQL database to
provide secure storage services to my iPhone apps and other programs.
• iPhone Application Development: Led a small team of programmers, marketing personnel, and graphic
designers in creating software for the iPhone and iPad.
• GaTech FSAE Racing Team: Member of the GT FSAE team where I used SolidWorks for parts design
and helped produce a top-ranked FSAE car for worldwide competition.
Other Interest:
-Robotics, computer programming, artificial intelligence, information security, and alternative energy.
