Company: Indian Railways (Integral Coach Factory) - Chennai

Title: Gate Attendance System Using Bio-Metrics (Finger Print)

Tools: PHP, MYSQL

Description: Every human being has unique physical attributes called biometric attributes. The system uses one such attributes namely finger print for the attendance registration. The biometric finger print reader can register the attendance of the employees by validating the identity card at the reader and then reading the finger print of the left / right hand. The reader compares the finger prints of the employees with the finger prints already embedded in the smart card and registers the attendance with a display “verified” if it matches or else gives the signal “Failed to verify”. After the registration of the attendance the transaction containing the Employee No., Date and time of registration and the ID No. is created and stored in the PC which is connected on-line.
