RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

. Thermal and Photo Induced SiO2 Coating of Silver Nanoparticles:

Published July 2009 in Journal of Nanotechnology

Researched the ability to coat silver nanoparticles via photo-CVD in an

aerosol state. Silver nanoparticles were produced and carried through a

coating chamber where they were exposed to UV radiation with a SiO2

precursor. Coating purity and thickness were analyzed at varying flow rates

and chamber temperatures. Transmission electron microscopy, x-ray

spectroscopy, and Fourier transform microscopy were all used to determine

chemical composition.

. Investigation of C60 as a Cloud Condensation Nuclei: 01/12-05/12

Using Spartan Pro and Gaussian computational modeling programs, C60 was

investigated as a potential cloud condensation nucleus. Hartree-Fock

calculations were run for water-C60 interactions at various positions on

the fullerene and various angles for water interaction.

SKILLS

. General: Extremely good judgment, dependable, cooperative in a team

setting, and pronounced initiative.

. Computer skills: Windows operating systems: MS Excel, Word, Power Point,

OneNote

. Certifications: CPR Certified, First Aid training, Asbestos safety,

Fire/Fire Extinguisher safety, Waste Water training, Laboratory safety

including: MSDS; Goggle usage; Chemical Labeling; Hazmat; Waste Disposal;

Controlled substance handling.

Other Experience:

. President and Historian of Chi Phi Fraternity, Epsilon Zeta Chapter.

o Under tenure, chapter grew from 13 to 21 gentlemen, weekly meetings

for both the chapter and cabinet were held in a timely consistent

manor, philanthropy events planned and directed, meetings with

national office attended focusing on managerial skills and

promoting better leadership skills.
