IT Manager – Arlington Community Federal Credit Union
As IT Manager of the Credit Union infrastructure responsibilities include management of the IT support of
three branches, Customer Call Center, back office organizations and Executive management personnel..I
provided management of IT staff, multiple vendors supporting core transaction systems, credit and
lending systems, telephony, network security and management systems and multiple credit union support
applications. The IT Manager acted as member of management planning and disaster recovery teams,
including projects involving upgrades to current technology (Credit card and check processing systems,
call recording system). Systems supported include (Symitar Episys, PSCU Credit processing systems,
Datacard Instant Issuance systems, SonicWall Firewall, Secure Remote Access and SPAM email filter,
Microsoft Server and Client OS, Exchange and Office suite) Current projects and responsibilities include
the following:
IT budget plan development for 2013 business year.
Coordinated and implemented IT services for a new branch in a three month period (January
2013 – April 2013).
Redesigned the point to point data network infrastructure to a fully meshed MPLS network to add
the new branch and expand existing bandwidth by over 50%.
Redesigned 3 year old backup solution to a current local NAS (Qnap) and data replication cloud
services.

IT Director – A-T Solutions
As IT Director, I managed the A-T solutions internal information technology support structure. This
position reported to the Chief Financial Officer. Responsibilities included management of technical
professionals and multiple vendor and consultant relationships. The IT Director position provided
technical direction and management support of corporate-wide desktop/laptop assets, internal data
networks, telephony systems (VOIP and Mobile), and web and application systems supporting
approximately 800 internal users. Budget responsibilities included forecasting, management and reporting
of a department budget consisting of labor, operations and capital in the range– $3 million. During my
employment with A-T Solutions I supervised and participated in the move of our McLean, Virginia
corporate office including all C-level and senior leadership to a new office space, I organized and
documented all IT vendor and partner contracts and invoices, interviewed and hired for vacant positions.
2008 – May 2011
IT Group Director – Wyle Information Systems
As Group IT Director, I managed the Wyle Information Systems internal information technology support
structure. This position reported to the Wyle Chief Information Officer and Information Systems Group
President. Responsibilities included management of a team of technical professionals and multiple vendor
and consultant relationships. The IT Director position provided technical direction and management
support of corporate-wide and Information System group infrastructures including desktop/laptop assets,
internal data networks, telephony systems (VOIP and Mobile), and web and application systems
supporting approximately 4500 internal users. Budget responsibilities included forecasting, management
and reporting of a department budget consisting of labor, operations and capital in the range of $2.5 – $3
million. The following is an example of projects I was involved in during this period:
Project Management lead on corporate website redesign team. I took over a 2 year old stagnant
project and led the upgrade to a SharePoint platform with interactive site maps, improved content
management, and graphics with governance by appointed web council teams to review, approve and
implement fresh content.
Management of numerous national facility actions. Managed vendor procurement, management,
build out, asset management, and decommissions of IT infrastructure for facilities in multiple locations
and across the US.
Managed an RFP for the Wyle Information Systems group to support print, copy, scan and fax
capabilities standardizing procurement and maintenance vendors while improving overall functionality,
eliminating high cost local printing and realizing a $50,000 annual savings.
IT worked with facilities to coordinate the IS Group office move. During this office move all switch
and edge service infrastructure was upgraded to QOS / POE allowing for a smaller footprint with
improved throughput, security, wireless capabilities and network convergence with a Cisco VOIP
telephony solution. This project came in under estimated budget forecasts.
2003 -2008
IT Manager/Director – RS Information Systems (Acquired by Wyle in 2008)
I managed the RSIS Corporate Information Technology group of ten employees in the areas of data and
telephony infrastructure, desktop customer support, asset management, web and database support.
Corporate IT supported RSIS Executive management, Business Development/ Proposals, Operations
and Infrastructure. The Corporate internal customer base consisted of approximately 275 systems users
on 35 client server and web based systems and 250 desktop systems connected by a 7 location VPN.
This position managed a department budget of $1.5 - $2 million. Examples of efforts are listed below:
I implemented, utilizing ITIL principals, a formal Change Management process where none had
existed previously. This exercise met ISO 9001 audit requirements, minimized system downtime and
improved the communication lines between IT, Management, and end users.
The IT team created and managed IT SOPs and work instructions in support of the Corporate ISO
9001 certification and subsequent auditing as well as implementing automated customer surveys and
biannual infrastructure surveys.
During this period, I researched, tested, procured and implemented an automated multiple project
service management system used by IT, Security, Finance and Facilities groups replacing a solely
email-driven system. This system allowed for improved visibility to Infrastructure groups service
processes for monitoring, SLA management and continual improvement initiatives.
During this period, IT implemented an improved intrusion prevention/detection system, spam filtering,
and web monitoring platforms. These systems eliminated 98% of spam and malware efforts with an
average mailbox receiving 350 spam messages a day to fewer than 5 weekly.
1997 –2003
IT Manager - WorldCom, Inc.
The IT Manager responsibilities included PC desktop and LAN/file server support groups in the
Washington metro area. I managed IT staffs as large as twenty employees in the delivery of IT services to
multi-faceted internal customer groups of more than 3500 users. During this period I assisted in multiple
merges of IT organizations and merging of customer groups and systems.

Provided IT support for LAN, WAN, and desktop systems nationally for MFS Intelenet sales organization.
Major efforts to assist in merging of IT groups and cultures during WorldCom merger.

Office Communications)
Computer operation support and data analysis was provided for Shared Tenant billing systems for
approximately 35 locations nationwide. I spearheaded a national rollout of LAN/WAN technologies to 15
branch office locations.

Systems Senior Administrator for Mainframe, mini, and PC computer operations support, file backup and
retrieval and report generation for Fleet Combat Directions Systems Support facility San Diego, Unisys
and Comptek contracting companies.
I was a member of the USS Kitty Hawk crew for two Western Pacific tours acting as Strike Operations
flight schedule support and intelligence reporting for the Carrier Intelligence Center (CVIC).
