Network Engineer

equipment. Managed 10,000 security intrusion, network devices. Ran projects

to protect, upgrade customer network for security requirements. Witch

protected IBM's customers from attacks and saved 30% of cost to customer.

Set up training lab that helped IBM's personnel which reduced training

costs to IBM.

International Business Machines (IBM), Atlanta, GA 2005 - 2009

ISS Support

Led a team that gave white glove services to best customers by providing

hands on installations and training, saving IBM $20K per customer,

individually handling over 60 customer trips. Overseen purchase,

installation of cabling/fiber, patch panels, power/UPS, equipment racks To

keep project on track within budget.

MSSD

Installed and tested Arcsite on AIX/Linux platforms, bringing it into

Security Operations Center (SOC) production. Managing over 500 customers.

Transferred to Security Analyst blocking, protecting, resolving security

issues. Applied for and received a patent for high-availability failover

servers and security devices which allowed IBM to increase its patent

Started with IBM as a network engineer

Brought in as a ATM Expert(SME) becoming Team Lead, managing day-to-day

operations of over 30 personnel and over 100 customers. In staying abreast

of innovations, emerging technologies, benchmarking analyzing the

networking environment, making recommendations for future enhancements,

improvements, growth, standards in the network infrastructure, VOIP

systems. Was able to increase performance and security to save IBM and our

customers from undue downtime, security threats.

Ran project that changed out over 50 Xylan switches with Cisco 65xx

Switches, saving IBM over $100K in the first year alone.
